We have stayed at Coronado Springs a few times. What is your favorite Moderate Resort and why besides Coronado Springs? Thanks for your help/

We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort last September and we absolutely LOVED it! The pools are fabulous, and the atmosphere is so calming relaxed. The whole resort is so very lush with vegetation and truly it exceeded our expectations. By the end of the week, we juts wanted to hang out at the resort. I highly recommend it.

Good Luck! We will be back there this spring!

Port Orleans Riverside is definitely my favorite. The grounds are really nice for taking walks or sitting outside with a cup of hot chocolate. Definitely save some time just to hang around the resort. DH and I rented a SeaRaycer one day, and booked a carriage ride one evening, which was lots of fun. Riding the ferry to DTD is a nice change of pace from driving or bus riding. We were always please with the Food Court and Restaurant (Riverside Mill and Boatwrights) and Fulton's General Store for shopping. They have an arcade if you have kids, or just like to play games yourself.

My vote is for Caribbean Beach Resort, hands down.
The DH and I stayed there this past September, and LOVED it. If it weren't for him having his heart set on staying at the Wilderness Lodge, we would definitely have booked CBR again.
The overall theme and beauty of CBR just can't be beat. Not to mention the value. The food court was great with lots of variety. The main pool was a lot of fun, and the quiet pools were nice as well. The buses ran frequently, and we never had to wait very long.
We really loved the island theme, and Disney does an awesome job of replicating it...we definitely felt as though we were in the Caribbean!

I would go for POFQ, simply because it's small! When I stay at moderates, I seem to always be placed in the farthest remote buildings. I even asked to switch once, and was denied! :( I travel solo, and I hate being placed so far from the "action" of the resort. I almost felt lonely and isolated when I was placed in Trinidad South at CBR, or by the parking lot of Parterre Place at POR! So if I do a moderate, it will be POFQ, or maybe a peferred room at CBR. I just don't like the remoteness of some of the moderate's buildings.

We like the CBR. Keep in mind though that the main pool will be closed through September of this year. Each village within the resort has its own quiet pool to use though.
My kids begged to go back to this resort. We were looking into WL or AKL this time, but kids want to go back to CBR.
I have some photos posted below from July 2006.

POR is a fabulous moderate resort. For our next trip we are staying at the WL a deluxe resort. It is the first time ever and we are because we are celebrating Dh's 40th birthday. We didn't want to go all out, but we wanted something different this time. Our goal is to have 1 stay at all the different WDW resorts and then become DVC members.

anything but CSR..that has been our least fav resort. Buzz has wonderful pics of it, but it didn't float our boat

We have only stayed at POR...I am excited to be trying CSR this June, but I think I would be excited to try all the resorts. I liked POR, but was disappointed in the fact we didn't get any of the requests we made before and at check in. We were on oppisite ends of the resort from the friends we were traveling with.
