Favorite mod before Christmas and why?

We have stayed at WL and AKL at Christmas but I just booked POR for our December trip (that may change depending on what specials they release).

Any opinions on the nicest moderate at Christmas and why? We will have APs and will attend MVMCP but this is the first December trip that my husband and I are going by ourselves, so any tips for two retired boomers are welcome.

I really love POFQ at Christmas! I love the Christmasy jazz music, the smell of the lobby, and the decorations in the food court and lobby.

POR - the tree is pretty and there are lots of touches throughout the resort and the grounds!

My favs are POFQ and CB.
I would avoid CB this year, because of all of the construction.
I tell you POFQ, from one who hasn't stayed there. Since we have five, we have stayed at Riverside a couple of times. (Riverside is big and confusing. My girls still tell stories about getting lost going to the pool and dining.)
But, being sister resorts, we have eaten many times at its food court and swimming pool. All very nice. All rooms are close to the dining with one bus stop. And the boats to DS. Surrey bikes and carriages. It is a very pretty resort. And, you can use the pool and dining at Riverside, either walk or drive.
There were a few decorations, but nothing to compare to most deluxe hotels.

Thanks. We've stayed at Riverside many times and love it there but we've never been there during the holidays.

I think I'm regretting the moderate but I don't want to do AKL without my daughter. That's just me being melancholy.

I'd love the GF but it's just too expensive.

Really! I think I'd have to sell one of my kids to stay at GF!!! Especially, at Christmas. We usually eat there at least twice, so we can see how the other half lives!!!
It really is beyond gorgeous at the holidays. I can smell and see it now in my mind! WL is also a fav.
I realize now how so many families make GF and Poly more affordable by doing the Vacation Club....anyhoo!
But I get it, not wanting to go to your daughter's fav AK--I'm guessing--without her at the holidays.
You might be surprised at the discounts that come out...but I also think you'd like the FQ, for something different!
Bottom line, you will have a blast where ever you and your husband are staying!!! We will be at BC 16-28. I can't wait. We have never stayed there before!

You'll love BC! It's our new favorite. We will be there this fall. Can't wait!

Fort Wilderness - the RVers and campers decorate and except for the lack of snow it's like an old fashioned Christmas movie.

We stayed at POFQ for one night last December before moving over to BWV. We loved the decorations there!!! It was decorated more than I was expecting. If we go back at Christmas, I will definitely want to stay there again.

Me too! I love this pretty little resort, but I am especially happy here during the Holidays.
