Hi,
Can you please share some of your favorite lunch counter service restaurants at the resorts? We're taking it very easy this trip and would love to experience something new! Thanks.

Mary

The Italian panini from GF

Chicken lo mein or Aloha pork sandwich from Poly

Taco Salad or muffaletta from POFQ

Tuna sandwich or the Roast beef sandwich at Wilderness lodge. Both excellent.

Fish tacos and sticky wings at Kona in the Poly. I even learned how to make the wings at home they were so good. My DH is very picky and he loved them. Plus if you're taking it easy it's a great resort to take a stroll on the beach and get some pictures from around the resort.

My family really liked the "make it yourself" pasta and salads at Port Orleans Riverside. There were lots of yummy toppings and choices.

Here is a picture of the salad:

Another vote for Captain Cooks at the Poly - love the lo mein, and the poly chips! The hawaiian flatbread was pretty good too! The zebra domes at Mara are pretty good too!

The Boardwalk Bakery is the only non-food court counter service I can think of that I've eaten from and enjoyed. They do have a few sandwiches that they serve that look tasty, in addition to all of the cakes and pastries, of course.

Love the food courts at both Port Orleans resorts (build your own pasta bowls at POR are a must do), love CSR's food court, Gasparilla Grill is wonderful, Captain Cooks at the Poly is a favorite of ours and we also enjoy the Contempo Cafe at the CR.

If you want a table service lunch that won't break the bank, Olivia's at Old Key West is wonderful. Nice sandwiches and salads (they have a cuban sandwich that I love) and its an easy boatride from DTD. Lovely resort to wander around and enjoy and Olivia's has nice outdoor seating with a bit of a view of the marina as I recall and the ceiling fans and shade make it very pleasant.

The Chicken Ceasar Salad with the dressing tossed in at the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary is great. Plus unlike other counter service locations their Salads are made fresh each time you order them and are not pre-made, then kept inside a fridge all day.

Another vote for make your own pasta at POR

Shrimp Po Boy with homemade chips POFQ

Captain Cook's - Adult grilled cheese, Poly chips & Dole Whip is the perfect lunch!
