This will be our third year in a row going to FW and have always been in the 2000 loop. The first year it was ok. But last year there was no vegetation and it was all swampy (it had rained for 2 months straight before we left, but still. Disney, ya know?) :confused3
While there last time, one morning DH sat in on a meeting about FW(?) and someone said that the 1500 loop was MUCH better (as far as partial hook up goes.)
Even though, I browse around here a lot this IS something I don't know much about. Someone fill me in on what's the most comfortable.
We've never really gone through the other loops so I have nothing to compare to.

The bus NEVER came last time (Something DH also said was discussed in meeting).
BUT our site 2021 (both years) is RIGHT in front of the Comfort Station and having 2 small kids that was extremely convenient. :thumbsup2

I'd take 1500 over 2000 any day of the week......but I see 1500 gets a lot of local people on the weekend that rent FW tents.......usually very loud and busy friday - sunday with florida residents......monday -thursday is my pick :thumbsup2

I honestly prefer 2000 due to the size of the sites and the way they are laid out. I need 20x20 of clear space for my setup (and sometimes even more space for an extra tent when I bring friends along).

In Loop 1500 while they ARE close to everything, the site size is seldom ideal. If you look at Loop 1500, generally the sites are narrower, the grill can be in the way, and often there are trees in weird spots in the sand area.

I will always have a bike, golf cart, or ECV to scoot around the Fort on, so location is not critical to me.

I love 2020, 2021, 2019.

We were there the beginning of December and had sites 1514 and 1516. They were great. They were around the backside of the loop so was pretty quiet actually. It was a short walk to the comfort station but not horrible...and we had a potty training 3 year old! On our site we had the pup, the attached screen room and a tent behind the pup. The in-laws had their pup and an additional screen room for eating, not to mention a golf cart and 2 electric scooters! I was worried about being near the canal but our little guy never even knew it was there since there was a hill before the canal!! Personally wouldn't want to be near the comfort station as that's a lot of coming and going at all times of the night.

I say...give the 1500 loop a try...you might just love it!

With 700-800 sites there are lots of favorites. Often you may find it is the last one you stayed in or maybe the next one you will stay in. They're all different, and we are all different. We like a large site with room for decorations, access to the comfort station, ease of backing in, etc. We've found lots like that. Viva la Fort!!!:banana:

I guess I'm just not big on change. :confused3 I liked 2021 so much the first year that last year I faxed in the site request for it...
When DH said he booked a site closer to the marina for this time I thought about it for 2 months and made him call back yesterday and change it back to the 2000 loop... The thought of a new loop didn't sit well with me as the kids and I are so used to 2021.

We prefer to be away from the action so we traditionally choose 1900...more specifically 1918 which is about the furthest site from the main road. It used to be a fairly private site before the vegetation was so extensively cleared but is still nice.
