Favorite kitchen gadget?

Was using my insta-read meat thermometer thingy tonight (made a pork roast) and wondered how I survived before they were invented.

What's your favorite cooking gadget?

Denise < --- lost her Ulu and "grandma fork" during her recent move; still waiting for them to turn up in an oddball box

My favorite gadget is the pampered chef chopper......I make soup for the kiddos sometimes and I hide the veggies by chopping them fine......I did this with carrots in the steak soup and they ate them all. But the same kids wouldn't eat a bigger piece of carrot in the same soup. Go figure....but I do love this gadget....

Well my favorite kitchen anything is my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, but as for a little thingy that I love - it's my apple corer. I always sign up for apples for all of Emily's school parties. I can perfectly slice and core 10-14 apples in about 5 mins. They are always a big hit too with the other kids. Such a simple idea and so needed. Wish I'da come up with it - !!
