Greetings! I did a forum search because I thought I had seen a thread about favorite iPad apps, but I found nothing. Seeing that many people took advantage of the BF Ipad mini sales, (including me, buying my first "i" anything!) I thought it was time to start a new thread. SOOOO...what are your favorite apps? I am interested in "mom" things, fun games and anything to use with photos. Free ones are best, but good values are awesome too. TIA!

My kids love the Disneyland explorer app. It is free and made by the disney company. You get to explore the park by looking at pictures and playing little games for some of the main attractions. Not sure if there is a Disneyworld version of this.

I have a few favorites on my iPad 2 device.
Flixster- great to watch extended movie trailers
Houzz- if you like to look at pics of houses, remodeled rooms.Great to get ideas.
Pinterest
App advice- everyday it gives you apps that are free for that day only
Buzzfeed
And,although this is not an app,but a great site to learn about your new I device,it's called imore. I use it all the time,it's really helpful!

Starfall, Netflix, Facebook, minecraft, candy crush, PBS kids, meme tales...

Thanks everyone. Keep them coming! I am new to Netflix, can someone explain how it works?

Two apps that I haven't seen mentioned that I love are TripIt and Flipboard.

TripIt is basically an electronic "binder" of all your travel plans. Just take a confirmation email that you receive and forward it to plans@tripit.com and it will keep all of your stuff in one place.

Flipboard is for browsing articles (news, sports, technology, whatever) in a pretty close approximation to a physical magazine. Very browsable for tablet use.

Netflix is a subscription video streaming service. Movies, tv sows, and some original programming. It's 7.99 monthly

Evernote
Freecell
Mahjong vacations
Pinterest
Dropbox - my absolute favorite - backs up my photos automatically
HGTV watch
Amazon video
Kindle

I play Combine all the time. My iPod is an expensive Combine machine, basically. I also play 4 Pics 1 Word (sometimes have to cheat by looking up answers online so I can move on). Slice It and Flow Free are two more puzzle type games.
