Favorite insoles?

I have a favorite walking shoe, but my best insoles are no longer being made and I'm looking for something new. We aren't headed back to WDW until June 2020, but I want to try out new insoles for a month or so of walking to make sure they'll work. I figure looking now will give me several months to try out different options!

So anyone have a favorite they love? I have small, flat feet and I usually wear a women's size 5 shoe. In my daily life, I walk on city sidewalks every day. I'm an elementary substitute teacher, so I'm used to spending a lot of time on my feet during the day, but having those good insoles has been a huge help.

First, love your name! If you married Grumpy, I'm pretty sure I married his brother.

Now, your question: You've described my feet perfectly; I'm even a teacher -- standing on tile all day is rough on the feet. However, I also have plantar fasciitis, which drove me to the Orthopedist.

If you NEED insoles, I strongly suggest you skip the drug store (I must've spent $200 on drugstore inserts over the course of a couple years) and go to the doctor. For the cost of a doctor's visit, you'll get two pairs of CUSTOM inserts that'll last you at least five years each ... and they'll be vastly superior to the things you're using now. Promise.

Thank you! LOL, my DH is so well known for being Grumpy that when I was first meeting his family and friends, at least every other other person told me in one way or another that he was grumpy, grouchy, cranky, grinchy, etc. :)

I will definitely check in with my doctor. We've got good insurance, so hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg!

Life changing arch supports for me are "Arch 1000" for medium to low arches. They can be ordered from www.tenseconds.com or fitted to you by someone who deals in orthotics. These were recommended to me by an orthotic expert my doctor sent me to who also fitted me with some custom orthotics for exercise only. These particular arch supports go in my everyday tennis shoes. I used to have planter fasciitis in both feet. I now have chronic tendinitis in both heels (according to my doctor, this condition is linked to plantar fasciitis). These arch supports got me through several days at Disney! BTW, most insoles are made of foam and function as a more passive cushion. These insoles are made of cellular urethane and are springy - so they give more support and a tiny lift.
