Favorite Hotels within Walking Distance

What are your favorite hotels within walking distance? Free breakfast or kitchenette is a big plus but not necessarily a must. Don't want to spend more than around $2500-ish for a week. I was looking at the Hyatt House and another one I can't remember the name of now... We would probably be going to Disney at least 3 days but doing a few other things in the area. There seem to be a lot of great options as far as good neighbor hotels in the area so I am easily overwhelmed. Another thing, do you recommend booking with Disney, the hotel directly, or a third party to get the best deals? I haven't been to Disneyland since I was a teenager, and my husband has never been. It will be him, our toddler, and possibly my mom or his parents joining us. Any other helpful tips appreciated!

For us Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance is our go to these days. By far. Our kids wont share a bed so for us it means Courtyard or a suite/two rooms elsewhere.....

For you with extended family joining it will be great. Two Queen Beds, Bunk Beds, and two showers in each room.

My favorite is Homewood Suites (next to the Toy Story lot). It’s appx 1 mile away, which we consider walkable, however we use the Toy Story shuttles the majority of the time. Also has kitchens, clean spacious rooms, free breakfast, and on select evenings they do a social that has appetizers.

I stay at the Candy Cane Inn. It's about a 10 minute walk to the parks. They offer free continental breakfast, free parking, and a free shuttle service to and from the parks.

How long is the walk to the toy story shuttle? I would preferably like to stay somewhere I can see the fireworks from the room too. I know I have a lot on my wishlist haha.

I like the idea of having a separate bedroom so we can hangout after our son goes to bed and not disturb him. I don't know if our parents would be necessarily staying at the same hotel as us.

Forgot to mention I would prefer someplace we can walk and not need to take any shuttle busses, with a toddler lol. Is Hyatt House close enough we could go back to the hotel for a midday break/nap or is there something else better? I know Best Western is right across the street but no kitchen so we would have to eat out for most meals. Thanks!

i have not been there but my understanding is Residence Inn rooms have full kitchens. Whether it's walking distance would be your call.

Walking distance is more important to me than the kitchen aspect. The kitchen would be a nice bonus so we didn't have to eat but I would rather be a lot closer with a little one. I'll have to look it up on google maps and see the distance.

Best Western Park Place Inn and BW Anaheim Inn both have free breakfast and are very, very close to the crosswalk (into the Esplanade).

It has been a few years (like almost 10), so it may have changed, but we stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites. The suite had a bedroom with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the living area, and a small kitchen area. It was walkable, but my youngest was 10. We did end up riding ART some of the time, especially if we took a break in the middle of the day.

My son is 2.5 now and we won't be going until the end of this year or 2021 he is very energetic but I have chronic pain and my mom is disabled. It looks like Hyatt House and Residence in are about 10 minute walks to the guest drop off location in front of the parks.

I have not had the best experience the last few times I stayed at BW Used to love them. I'd stay at the GC if I had the money LOL

yes. very convenient walk and we stayed there to minimize the amount of walking my elderly father had to do. We did not enjoy it though.

I personally like either the Fairfield Inn or Courtyard Themepark entrance. Courtyard is nicer (they have bunks for the kids!) with a fun water park style pool that is perfect for smaller children. The only downside to Courtyard is the price can get a little steep at times. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the parks.

The Fairfield Inn is also a 5 minute walk, but it just has a regular pool and rooms seem a little smaller than the Courtyard. Still very clean, comfortable, and very friendly staff. This is my go to hotel since I can usually find good rates here. McDonalds and Panera are basically in the parking lot so that helps get an easy breakfast or quick snack with the kids.

I've been to the courtyard theme park entrance and the residence Inn. At the end of a long day the courtyard is much closer. But it is quite the walk to even get to the street! It can be pricey though. I can only stay there when I use points.
