We see the talk about all the faves and the rush to get into Le Cellier and all the other places that seem to be on everyone's "must-have" list for meals.

So I want to ask you:

What is your favorite "hidden jewel" eatery? What one place do you love that you think doesn't appear enough on the radar for the rest of us?

Thanks!

Biergarten in Ep is usually available, tons of fun, and good food too.

Also, I love Tusker House in Ak (lunch or dinner), not that hard to get a ressie and the food is delicious.

Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is a jewel, although not hidden-it is usually packed. No ressie needed as this is a nice CS place.

I second the Kona vote. While everyone tries to get into Ohana, Kona remains under the radar at Poly. Everyone in my family loved it.

DH and I love Kona Cafe for lunch and Citricos for dinner. We've enjoyed our experiences at both places.

I completely agree with Biergarten! It's one of our faves & doesn't seem to get enough love!

Starring Rolls in DHS. Whenever someone asks about good CS in DHS, it takes a while for anyone to mention Starring Rolls. Good sandwiches, great desserts.

Fairfax Fare at DHS, Cape May Cafe's dinner at the Beach Club, and Earl of Sandwich - where I had the best BLT in my life!

Kona, the CS restaurant at Port Orleans, the CS at POP, Wolfgang Puck Express and Biergarten.

The Wave for Breakfast, Wolfgang Puck Express for Lunch, and Kona Cafe for lunch or dinner. I hear WPE is great for breakfast too, but we have never eaten there for that meal.

Grand Folridian Cafe, Biergarten, Starring Rolls for lunch.

My favorites not in order of preference:

Kona
Wolfgang Puck Express- Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken w/Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Mama Melrose-great service

Finally got a reservation at LeCellier, can't wait!

I'm kinda weird :lmao:
when I see tons of people lining up to go to a restaurant, I want to go the other direction... that's how I feel about Ohana... anywhere there are THAT many people packed in I don't want to be...

THAT's how we discovered Kona Cafe, which has been our favorite restaurant from our first visit on.
What I love about Kona:
Great service
Quiet compared to Ohana and while you eat you can see the line of people waiting to get into Ohana stretches past the entrance to Kona... just think- that could have been you!
Great food
Balanced plate - you will get a balance of meat, starch and real vegetable in your meal. I preferred eating here over eating at the Cali Grill where with my filet mignon I received one teeny tiny baby zuchinnni hidden in a blob of mashed potatoes topped with my filet.
AT Kona I had the pomegranate BBQ pork chop, potatoes and a large serving of greens- and it was just as good if not better than CG.
DH had the steak, potatoes and a nice sized serving of broccolini.
Fun Drinks- you can choose the usual, but even on the DDP you can get virgin Pina coladas or smoothies as your drink, which def. adds to the magic of the meal.

... just a few of the reasons why we :lovestruc the Kona Cafe...

We like Tokyo Dining. It's different, sure, but we've never had to have an ADR to eat there.

We discovered Trail's End at Fort Wilderness on our last trip. It was delicious with tons of variety. It's just a quick ferry ride from the MK.

Raglan Road. Amazing bread and butter pudding. Also as a ham lover, the Kevin's ham dish was absolutely to die for. I can't wait to go back again in October.
