So, which good neighbor hotel is your favorite?
We stayed at HOJO in 2015. Kids loved the splash park and we all loved the comfy beds. The 10 min walk to DL was ok for us. I think we paid 150 a night. We are planning to go back to DL in 2018. I'm looking into other hotel options within walking distance. I'd like a 10 min walk or less, maybe a free breakfast (HOJO didn't have that), a heated pool for the kiddos, $200-225 a night or less. It'll be me, DH, my 2 boys (7 and 9 at that time) and my parents. We will likely get 2 separate (hopefully adjoining) rooms. Thx!!

We spend so little time at the hotel, I go with the closet and least expensive.
If we're going to use the pool that leaves out in-door pools

My children will definitely use the pool and I'd like a hot tub. We were happy at HOJO and I'd go back to it, but just interested in people's opinions on some others.

For pool and location we love the Hojo. I know you're already stayed there though and are looking for other options. But we've recently fallen in love with their "other" pool, not the splash park. Its so big! And beautifully landscaped and I am pretty sure its heated as well!

We did go in the other HOJO pool, but my boys were mainly obsessed with the splash park side. I really like the HOJO and may end up there again. Was wondering if any of the closer ones or ones with breakfast are worth checking out. I would love to stay at DLH, but I don't think I can justify that cost when so many other places are close by and cheaper and still nice.

We were just at the Best Western Park Place Inn and Suites, across the street from the main gate. It was $161/night (Costco price) plus $10/day for parking. They do have an outdoor pool, but it's small and I wasn't at all tempted to make use of it. There were some people in it, though. Don't know about a hot tub. The rooms themselves are pretty nice and seem to have updated or kept in good shape. I didn't like having the parking lot right outside our door, especially with loud garbage trucks coming by. We were on the ground floor. There was a free (included) buffet breakfast next door at Captain Kidd's. It was just okay. We only ate it one day, then ate in the park the next day and then IHOP on the day we left. The pros are primarily the location and that the room interior does not seem worn out. On the con side, we twice came back to the room at around 1:30 and it still hadn't been serviced. The pool location was right off the parking lot. I doubt it was heated.

We are going this August and I booked the Hyatt House via Costco's hotel only option. I am going to see if their package deal with tickets is better than Parksavers before making a final decision. The Suite is really nice from the pics so I am hoping the slightly longer walk will be worth it.

I have heard great things about Hyatt House

Across the street there is a more upscale hotel compared to HOJO which is the Courtyard by Marriot who opened with a splash pad as well. With a sale or coupon or deal, you could get in your budget. Bonus is it has slides, closer to the park, and has breakfast.

Any hotels within a 5 to 10 minute walk to Disneyland under $150 a night?
Even $125 a night
Going in mid October

No need for a pool or playground
We are no children
No need for a free breakfast

Suggestions?

If you don't need a good neighbor hotel, I would suggest Alpine Inn motel. Easy walk to the park, free parking, and a very basic breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the motel was clean. We paid $114 a night in February. It did have a pool and backs to Carsland at CA. Not fancy, but good value for the money.

If you don't need a pool or breakfast, the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites is very reasonable if you book it far enough out. It is pretty much right across the street on S. Harbour. We booked in October for this May and paid $89/night for 2 queen beds. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. They do have a small breakfast included and a very small indoor pool that we have never used. We have stayed there 3 times, this will be the 4th and have always found it to be clean and comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Castle Inn. Very clean rooms and the front desk service was excellent. It's one of the lower-priced places along Harbour.

For @tattlou - it also has a modest pool and hot tub which is unfortunately situated right in the middle of the parking lot. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and hot tub of the Camelot much more, including the great views of the fireworks. It's more expensive than the Castle Inn but it's also quite a bit closer - almost right at the crosswalk to the Esplanade and McDonald's is right next door (great for coffee or cold drinks).

We are doing the Anaheim plaza this may stayed there before they have a 4th night free special.

Makes it like 107 a night

Getaway today usually has some decent prices for the same hotels

We just got back from the courtyard Marriott Maingate, I will never stay anywhere else! We usually stay on site at the DL hotel. This place was amazing, the bunk beds were awesome, bathrooms huge! The staff was super friendly, the pool area has amazing slides and they encourage you to bring outside food. We had a mini fridge and microwave! Easy 8 min walk to the parks! My kids wanted to move in. One day we took a break and swam and had door dash deliver our dinner to the hotel and it was a great break and no overpriced park food!
