Favorite Fort thing ,

I love to ride my bike around in the morning after breakfast. No hurry to get to a park, just enjoy the atmosphere! I also love evenings when the whole place smells like charcoal and propane from everyone cooking. We camped there so often when I was little that I still associate the smell of grilling to camping at the fort.

Taking the golf cart up to Trail's End for our traditional first night dinner- The Giddyup and Go chicken take out, then sitting outside at the picnic table eating it and realizing we still have our whole vacation in front of us.

Of course we love everything about the Fort but that first night is my favorite...along with fireworks on the beach and roasting hot dogs at the campfire movie :)

The serenity of the fort even though ur in WDW and the music piped in at the meadows trading post and by pioneer hallowed

I love the excitment of that first day setting up.... after all is done, DD takes off on her bike around the loop, meeting other kids.... while DH and I watch from our camp chairs sipping a glass of wine... realizing we are finally home.

Of course our other favorite is the next morning.... DD and I get up while most are still asleep, take off on the golf cart and go fill up our mugs with coffee and hot chocolate. We get back just in time for DH to be starting our first breakfast at FW... and the beginning of a week at Disney !:thumbsup2

1. early morning walks
2. looping
3. checkers on the TE porch
4. campfire sing-a-long
5. in short, the whole experience!

getting a chocolate milk and powdered donuts and looping in the golf cart.

/
toasting marshmellows with Chip and Dale then sitting back and watching a movie outdoors

Some of my favorites:

Sitting at the campsite and hearing the boat horns as they come and go.:cloud9:

Breakfast at Trail's End. The familiar faces of the servers. Getting those Mickey Waffles right out of the waffle maker!:thumbsup2 Then walking off breakfast as we hoof it back to the campsite.

Waking up to the Boat Whistle for the first launch of the morning or even falling asleep to the wine of the buses going buy and sometimes just sitting at our camp sight and taking it all in!

Just being at The Fort
Riding bikes
Walking around the campsites and meeting other campers
Movies
The boats
The Trading Post
Relaxing

On our first day, riding the golf cart off the main road, down the long walkway to pioneer hall hearing the fort widerness music piping through the trees.:yay:

Being at the Fort, just how quiet and peaceful and relaxing it all is. I love taking the boat to MK as well, it's just so awesome knowing that MK is just across the water instead of 1200 miles or so from me.:lmao:It's the whole atmosphere that you experience at the Fort, that's why people keep coming back for life, the other resorts are wonderful i'm sure but as it's been said here before the Fort /camper people are just a wonderful kinda folk that just are the salt of the earth.Disney is a lot of fun and I never wanna go anywhere else but when I'm on vacation I wanna relax and not be in a hurry up timeframe and the Fort gives me the best of both worlds, I can go have a blast in the parks but at the same time I can just relax and slow down.
