My favorite board on disboards is the WDW dining board. There is nothing equivalent for Disneyland so tell me your favorites! What are your favorite:

Snacks
Quick Service restaurants and meal
Sit down restaurants and meal
Character meal

I'd love to see pics if you have them

There actually is a food thread with lots of pictures.

Snacks: So many!!! Churros, churro bites from Cozy Cones, chimichanga (my three girls and I share one and it's almost a meal), Mickey beignets from Mint Julep Bar, Corn Dog from the Little Red Wagon, cream cheese pretzel, skewer from Bengal BBQ... I love snacking more than a full meal, actually!

Quick Service restaurants and meal:

DCA - Flo's turkey dinner
DLR - Hungry Bear fried green tomato sandwich

Sit down restaurants and meal

We don't do a lot of TS with our two little kiddos, and the CS at DLR is really very good.

DLR - Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou
I don't think we have ever done TS at DCA... I'd like to try Carthay sometime

One TS we had last time that is now on our do every time list is Storytellers at the GCH. It's so easy to pop over there from DCA. The salmon I shared with my DD4 was amazing, and the bread basket was fantastic.

Character meal

Surf's Up at the PCH Grill is our very favorite with Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn coming in close second.

Snacks: dark chocolate rocky road from the Candy Palace
QS: Plaza Inn fried chicken meal
TS: Napa Rose at the GCH. Their truffle Mac and cheese is insane
Character meal: Storytellers at the GCH

I only chose one of each however there are so many in each category that I love!

Steakhouse 55 at the dl hotel is a wonderful ts! Also, clam chowder bread bowls by rivers of America, yummy!

My favorite board on disboards is the WDW dining board. There is nothing equivalent for Disneyland so tell me your favorites! What are your favorite:

Snacks: Dole whip or float, popcorn, or cookie sundae from Gibson girl

Quick Service restaurants and meal: Plaza Inn Fried chicken, anything from jolly Holiday, Flo's Turkey, or a sandwich from Pacific Wharf.

Sit down restaurants and meal: Blue Bayou surf and turf, Steakhouse 55 at DLH (anything there), Carnation Cafe turkey sandwich or potato soup, Carthay is our new favorite. I had the pasta and it was delicious. Highly recommend the fried biscuits too! mmmm. We always like Storytellers as well.

Character meal: I've only done Goofy's kitchen and Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn. I preferred Minnie's. My kids are kind of scared of characters, so we normally don't do a character meal.

I'd love to see pics if you have them

No photos sorry!

I have only been to Disneyland a whopping one time, but I intend to go back many, many more times. :thumbsup2 So, take my answers for what they are worth.

Snack: I loved the pretzel bites from the Cozy Cone with the Red's Apple Freeze. I especially loved the Red's Apple Freeze. Wow, was it good!

Counter Service: We loved eating the skewers and Tiger Tails at Bengal Barbecue. My husband is hoping I will be able to find a copy cat recipe for some of those skewers.

Table Service: Carthay Circle was our favorite, especially the firecracker duck wings. Oh wow, those were amazing.

We didn't do any character meals but the one with Ariel looks cute. So does Surf's Up with Mickey.

Snacks: Dole float and popcorn!

Quick Service restaurants and meal: Plaza Inn Fried chicken, and Gyro Platter at Paradise Garden Grill.

Sit down restaurants and meal: Haven't tried one yet ... hopefully later this year for my birthday!

Character meal: We've only tried the Mickey's Surf's Up - which I really liked. Another birthday plan for later this year is to try Minnie's.

Let's see-

Snacks:
- Love the churros after trying one last year, anything from Bengal BBQ (I think if it more like a snack than a counter service meal), and best of all, English Toffee. OH and also the mint juleps and beignets in NOS.

Quick Service restaurants and meal:
- We love the fried chicken at Plaza Inn
- Breakfast at Flo's (caramel French toast... yummy)
- Fried Green Tomato Sandwich at Hungry Bear
- Any ice cream sundae from either park

Sit down restaurants and meal:
- Love the surf and turf at Blue Bayou (and the atmosphere can't be beat)
- Big Thunder BBQ was a surprise hit with us, we went for dinner to get the options they don't offer with the lunch price.

Character meal: haven't done any yet, maybe one of these years. without having kids around it isn't high on our priority

Ok, now I'm hungry for anything from Disneyland... think they will deliver to Oregon :hyper: (probably won't be hot and fresh though)

Unfortunately, my favorite thing we had were the Monte Cristo bites which were a (I think) one time deal. Corn dogs were a close second.

There are so many yummy things to eat at DLR!

DCA Snack: Any of the sundaes at Clarabelle's are great. My current favorite is the Oswald, but the strawberry is also very good.

DCA TS: I would pick most things at Carthay Circle. My favorite are the house biscuits, which are little golden balls of ooey gooey yumminess!

DL Snack: Dole Whip Float is one of my favorites.

DL QS: This is a toss up between the Fried Chicken at the Plaza and most everything at the French Market.
Nawlin's Salad (French Market):

Fried Chicken (Plaza Inn):

DL TS: This is toss up between the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ and Cafe Orleans (in terms of food...for overall experience, I'd also recommend the Blue Bayou).

DTD Snack: Caramel apple! There are so many yummy varieties to choose from at Marceline's.

DTD TS: Brennan's Jazz Kitchen is my favorite and really like the Bourbon Street Sampler (especially the calamari and the boudin balls). The shrimp and grits is my favorite entree.

We like Steak house 55, Big Thunder ranch, Goofies, etc, but, my personal favorite is Corndog Castle in DCA. The only place in all my travels I have found that has Hot-Link Corndogs, is Corndog Castle! I have one per day on most trips. One of those with a little mustard and I am ready to go! If you have not had one, you ought to try it:cool1:

Snack: Bacon-wrapped asparagus at Bengal BBQ and Dole Whip
Counter Service: Fried Green Tomato Sandwich at Hungry Bear
Sit down: Monte Cristo at Blue Bayou
Character meal: Ariel's Grotto, because I have girls who love Princesses

My faves:

Pomme Frittes & Gumbo in a Bread bowl
Mint Julep & Fritters from the Mint Julep Bar
Chili in a Cone & Red's Apple Freeze from Cozy Cone
Dole Whips!

Snack - Dole pineapple float
Counter service - Flos V8 turkey dinner
Table service- Blue bayou
Character meal sit down - Ariel Grotto
Character Buffet - goofy's kitchen

And there's always room to grab for the snack cart a big old turkey leg!!

There have actually been many, many, many, many Disneyland Dining/Food-related threads on this board over the years, but the main one that was linked on the previous page has over 1 million views and has been the most popular one by far (start at the last page and work backwards since it's a thread that was started a long time ago!). It is still very active.

In the interest of trying to keep the number of threads about food and Dining down (because there can get to be too many and it's just not necessary), some threads have been moved over to the Disneyland Community forum in the past so that the main Dining thread can be the main source of Dining photos and reviews on the main DL forum.

Also, it was arranged a while back that figment_jii is going to take the helm of the new (official) Dining thread when the existing one hits page 250. Currently it is hovering around page 234 or 235. If we could get people to post in that thread (hint hint hint), maybe we could hit page 250 faster...and then figment_jii can start on the brand new Dining thread!:goodvibes:)

Snack: mickey icecream sandwhich or icecream bar. various carts sell them in DL.
CS: taste pilots grill in DCA has great burgers and ribs
TS: Blue Bayou has great food and great atmosphere
Character: Ariels grotto was awesome.
