Hey mere! Not sure if you remember us - but schimj and I cruised with you 2 in Nov. I think we might be at F&W the same time you are - we are going the last weekend to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - is that when you are going?

Hi there! Of course I remember you guys!! We have been to F&W a few times already but we are going to Party for the Senses on Nov 13th. Hopefully we will catch Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at some point that weekend. Great hear from you! Do you have any upcomming cruise plans?

Hi! Please stay on topic for the food and wine offerings with this thread, it appears to be turning into a personal conversation...please don't carry those out on the boards, use private messaging.

I like the bison chili at America, the pepper shrimp at China, the pork lettuce roll at Korea and the cheese and corn empanada from Argentina, and Canada's chicken chipotle sausage, I could eat a bunch of those. For drinks, the bourbon lemonade in America was really rather good, although small for 7 bucks. And German, Canadian, Estonian beer...

I really love the chicken chipotle sausage with creamy corn polenta, roasted peppers and maple jelly from Canada. Holy cow is that good.

So far for me some favs include:

Argentina - Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée

Mexico - Taco de Chilorio

Belgium - Freshly Baked Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream

Japan - Tuna Sensation

Singapore - Shrimp Cake with Singapore Noodle Salad

South Korea - Lettuce Wraps with Roast Pork and Kimchi Slaw

Sorry for my personal conversation. Figured since I originated the thread, I was entitiled. I was wrong. My apologies.

Ok, back on topic...

Visited F&W again last weekend and put together a list of my top 10 favorite kiosks for FOOD ONLY:

1. Mexico- Tamal de Pollo and Taco de Chilorio

2. China - Pot Stickers

3. Italy- Baked Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Bolognese Sauce and Melted Mozzarella

4. Morocco- Baklava

5. Belgium- Freshly Baked Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Chream

6. Ireland- Cheese Selection and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Irish Cream Ganache

7. Canada- Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup

8. Charcuterie and Cheese- Cheese Fondue with Croutons and Roasted Potatoes (although it was REALLY REALLY strong the other day, tasted like drinking straight Sherry)

9. Greece- Spanakopita

10. Argentina- Roasted Corn and Cheese Empanda

We went for the first time this year and loved it.

We tried the following,

American stand: bison chilli which was lovely nice and spicey

Hops and Barley: DH had the crab cake which he said was good and the blackberry beer, We both had the Pecan Bread pudding which was too die for and a large portion as well and we had it twice it was that good.

Japan: DH had the Tuna sensation and said it was good.

Morroco: Both of us had the Beef Kefta pocket and I had a very nice Tangerine Mimosa.

South Africa: Both of us had the Seared beef with the BBQ sauce and sweet potatoe mash, The beef was good and the sauce was nice but the flavour and spice of the sweet potatoe mash took over a bit.

China: Both of us had the pork potsickers again good again had them twice.

Champange and desert: DH had the desert plate which he said was good. We did not try any of the champagne as we felt $15 for a glass was a bit much.

Some of my faves from this year (noted by repeat visits to those booths!):

Argentina - Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce
New Zealand - Seared Sea Scallop with Vegetable Slaw and Lemon Oil
Ireland - Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie
Canada - Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup (always a winner!)
Singapore - Shrimp Cake with Singapore Noodle Salad

I really only have one favourite.

That was the chocolate dessert sensation at the Dessert and Champagne stall. It was so good that I went back about three times! And had more than one each time. After all they are only little :rotfl2:

Japan wins hands down from me!!

The tuna sensation was FABULOUS, as were the California and spicy tuna rolls.

Tried the Singapore Sling drink and it was so strong I could only take a few sips!! It tasted like some seriously strong cough medicine!
