favorite event on ship

on the Cruise Meet thread and then spending the ENTIRE WEEK
with them and making friendship that WILL last a lifetime. Nothing,
in the previous 5 cruises, has been more magical for my DH and me.

Boarding the ship and being greeted enthusiastically by the CMs who recognize you from past cruises....even those whom you met on a different ship!

Gee this a kinda difficult. Sailaway party is very high on my list. Second would be just walking around on deck 4 at dusk before dinner on the first night. That first eveing on the ship always seems really magical to me. Cocktails in preludes. A great show. The movement of the ship. It's just too tough to nail it down to one!

This is a great post for those of us who have never been on a DCL cruise. Fun to read and just makes that anticipation more exciting. Keep em coming, fellow DISers!.

Seeing my children's eyes light up once again as we set foot onto The Magic...with the same look in my eyes...knowing that they will stay like that for the next week. :)

I know this is cliche...but all my moments and events onboard keep me coming back!!!

but, I do love the "Till We Meet Again" event the last night of the cruise...this is where all the show performers and all the characters pose for pics and mingle with the guests in the atrium....you can get photos, autographs, chat, etc. Then all the performers and characters pose on the steps in the atrium and turn to each side of the atrium so the folks lined up on all three decks can get photos!!! It is very cool!!

Here are some pics....click the links...

Being able to have family time and adult only time during the trip (knowing the kids were well taken care of and having fun :cool1: ).

My favorite thing about the ship is that it is a "mom vacation." On the ship, I know that each person is doing something that they want to do. They can have food any time they'd like (no Mom, please get me" or "I'm starving,"). I can have time and relax...just for me.

The cruise is different each time. It just keeps getting better. Some of our "favorite" things don't happen any more. That's ok...other good things happen. Boarding the Magic is "coming home" for us.

I agree with all of the above, plus:
-sitting in the hot tub with hubby and having the fresh ocean air blowing thru your hair after dinner.
-watching all the joy and magic on everyone's faces at the graduation ceremony the last evening.
-that first spoonful of the chocolate sueffle at Palo

the list goes on and on :goodvibes

Seeing all the children with BIG happy smiles on their faces, and families bonding together. We need more of that in our society.
Love to see everyone so happy !!!!!
mom x4,grandma x4

Reading, relaxing, seeing my kids have a great time. Letting me kids have a little more freedom then they would at home. They better not be naughty though! I am a mean mom also. Spending time together as a family. Time alone with my husband :) Not having to cook or clean!

Chocolate souffle is up there way up there too!
