Favorite entree at Jiko

No, they wouldn’t do that. But I think they must have issues getting in, beause my menu clearly said Pork and yours said Wild Boar!

They might have distribution issues. I’d have no idea how to get wild boar .. definitely not at Publix! As I think about it, I’m pretty sure the menu posted just outside the reception desk still said pork so that contributed even more to my excitement about seeing it on my menu inside. I had already seen posts here that it was gone so I had been prepared.

I sat at the cooking place bar and I have to say all appetizers they were turning out looked amazing - salads, cheese plate, flat breads etc. Still one of my favorite spots and definitely worth a visit!

Keep your reservation; Jiko is incredible. The lamb is amazing. We also tried some sort of ravioli (helpful, I know) as an appetizer but not sure if it was an entree or true app. The tea is delicious as is their wine list! Both desserts were also amazing; a bird's nest thing and a chocolate mousse they gave us for our anniversary. The service was also impeccable.

I was there on 10/20 and wild boar was on the menu. I ordered it, even commented how excited I was it was on the menu to our server. I suppose they could have “tricked” me (there was wine involved, LOL) but the menu definitely said wild boar and I’m pretty sure I would have known if it was pork.

That would be enough for a meal with a salad if you were the only one eating. Looks good.

I am not a huge fan of carrots so I wonder if they will substitute for green beans or something if I get one of the entrees with them

My husband often asks for a different side or veg when at Jiko and they have always been happy to accommodate by switching to one of the other side or veg items on the menu.

When were you there? We were there on 10/13 and like you, it was pork! But others state that they've had the wild boar, something's fishy here!

5/2, 5/4, and 5/5 we were there and it was still Boar

Has anyone had the gazpacho? I would LOVE to have it, but it has speck. I wonder if it is within, or just on top and I could ask them to leave it off...?

The elk! Even my super-picky teenage daughter (who only ordered mac and cheese) tried a bite of my elk tenderloin...and then ended up eating almost half of it! Now, she wants to eat at Jiko again on every trip.
