I feel like Easter has some of the best candy options...maybe even better than Christmas and Halloween. They've been stocked in our stores since before Valentine's Day but we're really in the heart of it now. What are some of your favorites?

For me...
1. Cadbury Caramel Eggs
2. Reese's Eggs
3. Cadbury Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs (the crunchy candy coated ones)

I know there are all kinds of options, including some new ones that I've seen this year or in recent years. I was not a fan of the Russell Stover Dubai chocolate eggs, the Lindt carrot cake truffles weren't bad, and I've just never been a Peeps person, so both the classic and new flavors don't call out to me. You've got basic jelly beans, gourmet specialty flavors, and even others like the sour ones (I recently saw KFC flavored ones!). Other classics like Robin's Eggs are a favorite with some. Some love the Gold Brick egg or even the classic cream filled Cadbury Eggs or marshmallow eggs. Snickers eggs aren't bad either. Obviously, not an all-inclusive list.

So, what's yours?

Cadbury mini eggs (milk and dark chocolate)
Reese’s peanut butter eggs
Jelly Belly jelly beans
Robin’s Egg malted milk eggs
Cadbury caramel and chocolate creme eggs (but not the original egg with the while and yellow filling)

I also like a good quality chocolate rabbit. There is a local chocolate shop near my sister’s home that makes wonderful solid chocolate rabbits. I don’t do Frankford or Palmer or any of those brands. I will eat a Ghirardelli, Lindt, or Russel Stover chocolate rabbit if I can’t get a local one. Laderach also has some excellent Easter chocolate, but it’s a little too expensive for me.

Generally, I find the quality of chocolate to be better at the local candy store compared to most grocery store offerings. At various times of the year they offer peanut butter filled chocolate in designs suitable for the holiday such as an Easter Bunny, Santa or Thanksgiving turkey. I would assume all of those are the same recipe, just offered in different shapes and taste really good.

All the things mentioned plus I just love a Russel Stover Maple Egg, when I can spot one that is, they are tricky to find.

Ooooo... I'll have to see if I can find one of those.
If you are ever going to WDW during spring break (or a little after Easter), and coming down I-75, there is a Russell Stover warehouse and company store in Wildwood, accessible from either I-75 or the first exit on the Florida Turnpike. It appears, from looking at the photos on Google Earth that they put their Easter candy on sale.
