Favorite DVC resort?

My favorite resort is VWL. My favorite location is the Boardwalk. I wish I
I could stay at VWL and walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Remember THV isn't a resort. You mean SSR. It would be like saying South Point or Miller Road at OKW.

Wouldn't you agree that THV is a totally different experience than SSR? I know you're saying it's all SSR and while that's true, I have watched this thread and it helps to see this distinguishment, IMO.

I disagree. I have no particular interest in staying at SSR except for the occasional use of Treehouse units.

My favorites are the three where we own: SSR, BCV, and BLT. We really love our stays at all three. BCV mainly for the Epcot location and SAB, BLT mainly for the access to Magic Kingdom. SSR is my hands-down favorite, though. It's the one that feels most like home to me. We love the THV when we have a group, and the main resort when it's just us. SSR has my favorite studios.

If I were going to list the top 3 favorites at WDW, I'd have to say

1-OKW
2-AKV-Kidani
3-BCV

Least favorites...
BLT and BWV

Its hard to choose because they all have their good qualities.

For me, VWL is my top one. We own all pts there, spent most DVC stays there.
OKW and BWV are very close seconds.

But the question was favorite resort. You can't buy THV points, you can only buy SSR points. It would be like saying JH vs KV instead of AKV. They are both very different but one resort.

Now that we have grandkids, i have 2 sets of faves:

1. if the grandkiddies are with us, BLT (where we own) because (a) easy walk to MK (b) easy walk or monorail ride back to BLT (c) the kids LOVE the monorail (as do I!) and also VWL (where i wish i owned)

2. If we are solo, then VWL is our fave (a) the ambience of the resort itself (b) relaxing in the DVC quiet pool and hot tub (c) Artists Point (d) jogging on the trail to Fort Wilderness (e) boat ride to Mk
and also SSR (a) the Spa (b) Turf Club (c) dropping in to Artist Pallete late at night returning from the parks for a snack

If I had to narrow to the top three...

BCV
AKV
VGC

Since I lived in Miami for almost a decade, I still haven't tried OKW to see why so many love it. Unfortunately, tropical is a bit "been there, done that" for me. Someday I'll stay there, though, just to find out myself.

A lot depends on what were doing that particular stay:
Resort only stay - AKL; BCV; OKW
Parks - BCV; BWV; VWL
Shopping/Going to other than WDW Parks/Last Minute Trip - AKL; OKW; SSR
Touring/Beach/Doing Something Different - VB; HH

Do not care for BLT that much. Not DW and I's style.

1. PoP
2. CSR
3. POR
OOOOps wrong thread....LoL J/K:rotfl2:
Although we're waiting on our 1st trip this summer, I do like SSR, & AKL, but I'm sure Im going to love BWV.

1) Villas Wilderness Lodge at Christmas time.
2) Beach Club Villas for its location and beachy feel.
3) Old Key West, especially if no parks are planned for your visit.
4) Boardwalk Villas...if you can get a Boardwalk view.

VWL
AKV
BCV

But if I'm at any of the others, I'm also very happy!:goodvibes

OKW
AKV-Kidani
BWV

but in the end I'm not proud I'll take any resort to book a vacation!

BCV
AKV
VWL

Even though we have stayed at BWV more often than VWL, I wouldn't consider BWV our favourite - it's purely location. On the other hand, VWL is purely resort - don't really like the location.

:)
