We are gearing up for our trip in October (only a month away!!) and we have booked a reservation for BOMA, it is our first time staying at AKV.

So, I was wondering - what are your favorite resort restaurants and why?

So far I think the best meal we ever had was at Artists Point at the Wilderness Lodge. We absolutely loved the food (had Rabbit, Elk, sausage appetizers and Buffalo Steaks) and the atmosphere was great.

We went their twice prior to having our daughter. Probably not the best place for children, a little fancy, although I am sure they have a kids menu.

So - fire away, let me hear your favorites!

Artist Point - WL
Turf Club - SSR I think the TC is very underrated. Prime Rib is outstanding!!

Turf Club will be our first night dinner next October. :cool1:

Have been to both Boma (AKV) and Olivia's (OKW) and would recommend both. :thumbsup2

We loved the Turf Club. Tried it our last trip.

I am also a fan of the Yachtsman at the Yacht & Beach Club

Another vote for Turf Club - have had both lunch and dinner there and meals were great. Also enjoy Kona Cafe at the poklynesian but it can get a little noisy at times.

California Grill, hands down. The food is excellent and the portions are not outrageous, which means we can share a cheese course and have a first and second course in most cases. Sometimes we split dessert. But if we do all that, we simply leave full, not miserably overstuffed. My son also says they make the best grilled cheese sandwiches at WDW. :)

Here is another vote for Artist Point. We like the food and the atmosphere, and our servers have always been excellent. We have only eaten at the Turf Club once, but we liked it. Isn't the Turf Club at SSR the only resort restaurant that has an outdoor seating area?

We love the Turf Club (I have a reservation there in a few weeks) and will eat there at least once while at SSR. The Kona Cafe is another favorite of ours for breakfast. When at the Boardwalk, while it's not a "resort" restaurant, Spoodles (R.I.P ;)) was one of our favorites. Can't wait to try the new Cat Cora restaurant!!!

Forgot to mention how good the service for us has been at Artist Point. We have not been back their for dinner in probably 4 years, but we had the same server 2 years in a row (2003 & 2004). I remember because I am a Yankee fan and we had dinner one night during the 2003 World Series Yankees vs. Marlins. Anyway, I had a Yankee polo shirt on, just a small NY emblem, and our server ended up talking to me about the Yankees for most of the night. The next year he remembered us (I didnt have anything Yankees on). Now - how do you like that.

Glad to see the votes for the Turf Club. Our home resort is SSR, so these good reviews have me thinking of booking dinner their one night - a chance to cruise our home resort.

Thanks - and keep them coming

We were lucky enough to get into Kouzzina with no ADR a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! The bread came with butter sprinkled with black sea salt - it was stunning and delicious - and their Greek Salad was the best I have ever had (and I eat a LOT of Greek salad)! I highly recommend it.

My favorite DVC resort restaurants are:

  • Artist Point (VWL)
  • California Grill (BLT)
  • Flying Fish Café (BWV)
  • Jiko (AKV)
  • Yachtsman Steakhouse (BCV)
  • Napa Rose (VGC)
My favorite non-DVC resort restaurants are:

  • Citricos
  • Narcoossee’s
  • Victoria & Albert’s

We love the clam bake dinner at Cape May Cafe. Just thinking of it makes me want to go grab a bucket of mussels and clams.

Turf Club is a hidden gem. I'm not sure why this restaurant doesn't get more hype on the dining boards. Perhaps because it's "hidden away" at SSR instead of at one of the park resorts. The dinner menu is wonderful!

We enjoy Boma, but only do it every 3rd or 4th trip.

We've also had some very enjoyable meals at the Wave at the Contemporary. California Grill is also a special treat at the CR/BLT.

Ohana at the Poly! :)
We loved it so much the last time that we are planning 2 ARDs for our next visit.

Oops. Sorry I misread the OP. Poly isn't a DVC resort, even though many wish it were.

Our favorite DVC resort restaurants are Artist Point at VWL, Jiko at AKV, Yachtsman Steakhouse at YC/BCV and California Grill at the Contemporary (BLT). We also really like the Turf Club at SSR. I agree with the poster who said it's a hidden gem.

I agree with all. My vote has to be for BOMA. DEEEEEEEElish! :thumbsup2

Have to say Napa Rose at VGC followed by Turf Club at SSR. My wife often orders prime rib wherever it's avaliable. She says Turf Club has the best she has ever had. We live in the L.A. area with lots of dining choices, so she knows what she is talking about.

Let's just keep it a hidden gem! That is one of the things I love about it. A great meal on the patio! Ummm....I think it is only 11 more days until my next visit there! Yummm..prime rib and cheesecake!

We loved Yachtsman Steakhouse!!

We enjoy Cape May for breakfast. IMHO, its the best overall fab 5 style character breakfast.

Whispering Canyon is a lot of fun, and Artist Point is pretty amazing at WL.
