Favorite DVC membership perk

Sorcerer Pass. 2019 is when AP pricing got really crazy and having access to the second tier with minimal blockout dates became the most valuable.

AP discount is the biggest and paid back for the direct purchase vs the resale purchase at this point.

I really like the discounts in general as well. Its like having an AP discount without the AP.

How do they know you're a dvc member?

The phone app (and by extension the magicband) knows that I am a dvc member, it shows up in my online profile so when you tap in at the gate it knows.

Unfortunately, there's usually too much noise for me to even hear it. Doesn't matter to me, but for those who look forward to hearing it, that's a bummer.
My favorite perk is the ability to stay in a 1 BR, with all that comes with that, at a reasonable cost. But since that's not really a perk, just a benefit of membership, I'll add the ability to buy the Sorcerer's Pass.

Sorcerer Pass gives me almost $500 off. Not really a "perk" but no room bill to pay when you get home (I don't use room charge).

Sorcerer's pass - we usually make at least 3 trips a year - sometimes more. It saves us a lot.

As a DVC member for 21 years now and own at BCV, my favorite perk all these years is easy accessilbity to Stormalong Bay. We don't do the parks anymore, we spend all our days at the pools and love them. If we weren't a member, there is no way we'd afford staying at a deluxe resort each time. LOVE this pool.

I miss the AP discounts. We used to get discounts off the top two passes, but not anymore. We would get a nice discount on both the regular and premium AP, and then as well when it became Gold/Platinum/Platinum Plus. I believe we lost the discounts when it became Sorcerer/IncrediPass.

Disney removed all discounts for Incredipass, there’s no Florida Resident discount either. Gold for DVC was the same price as Florida Resident, same with Sorcerer. The big perk is being able to buy Sorcerer as a non Florida Resident.

So agree with this! Just having DVC allows us to go on vacation and stay somewhere nice. Specifically having the advantages of a 2 bedroom villa and being able to take friends with us!
We wouldn't make vacations happen if we didn't have DVC!
I also didn't know about the purple light!! We go in a few weeks so I am going to have to pay attention

I’m a second class member and have never felt that I needed the direct buy member benefits.
I love being able to stay at Disney in deluxe hotels for a reasonable price.

The thing that really made my day, back when, was that a CM would greet you by name and welcomed you home immediately after you got off the free magical express bus from the airport. Now, I just have to be content with hoping my room is ready and where I requested it when I get off the paid Mears bus.
