Favorite Disney Movie?

I've got a tie: Beauty and the Beast and Robin Hood. My favorite part is where Belle and the Beast are falling in love and starting to realize it.

Love Beauty and the Beast. There is just nothing else like it. The Beast is just too cool! Also love Peter Pan nothing like faith, trust and fairy :tink: dust to get you thru the day!!!!!

1st Place - Beauty and the Beast (I figure if the Beast can find love, there's hope for me yet)

Tied for 2nd - Aladdin, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Monsters, Inc

I love the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast- tied for 1st

2nd would be the Little Mermaid and the Parent trap movies(both versions)

so hard to pick just one! Its a toss up between Peter Pan and Pinnochio. Favorite childhood movie and still love them!

speaking of Song of the South, I've never seen it!!! Can anyone tell me where I can buy a copy?

Hands down, my favorite is Song of the South. Of course, it wasn't easy actually getting a copy, but well worth it. It's such a shame that Disney out right refuses to release this movie.

We recently received a copy from a friend who didn't tell us where he got it. I can't believe I have to own a bootleg Disney movie. It is one of the all-time beautiful classics. It is so heartwarming and charming that I too, have a tough time with Disney's refusal to make this available. I watched it with my kids, who finally understand the whole Splash Mt. theme.

The Little Mermaid - partly because it has an Old English Sheepdog in it - the dog I wanted my whole life and now I have!!!!

I love really 3 movies...

1) Any Donald Duck :donald: :donald: :donald: . I LOVE him!!!!!
2) Beauty and the Beast. That's my favorite animated movie!!
3)Last and the least is Mary Poppins!!![/U

I aslo like how they show the castle and then you see Tinker Bell :tinker: right before the movie!!!

Lilo and Stitch and The Tigger Movie.

Lilo and Stitch- I love Stitch explaining that he's found his family.. that it's little and broken but still good. Makes me weep everytime.

The Tigger Movie- At the end where Tigger realizes that his friends wrote the letter from his 'family' and realizes they're his family. Ditto the above on the weeping.

The concept of surrounding yourself with those who love you is a really important one to me, so I'm a complete sucker for both of these.

I always loved Robin Hood (oohh the songs!) and Lady and The Tramp

I like Fox and the Hound too but it makes me cry so much

I like all the "girly" Disney movies. My favorites are Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast.

My absolute favorite Disney characters are Winnie the Pooh...

One of my favorite newer Disney movies is Finding Nemo.

These are some of my favorites...

Brother Bear :thumbsup2 -love the visuals, and music
The Sword In The Stone :cheer2: -gotta love this one! The squirrel scene is too cute!
Peter Pan :) -Love the politically incorrect portions of this one! :rotfl2:
Swiss Family Robinson :thumbsup2 - I dig the tree house! And love it when the flamboyantly dressed pirate says, "Attass!!!"

I LOOOOVE Alice in Wonderland :goodvibes It's been my favorite since I was tiny. My favorite scene is at the beginning when she's talking to her cat.

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"

There are quite a few ways to get this movie, none of which are exactly "official."

The movie was never released commercially in America, but it was released commercially in Europe and Asia. If you are in Europe, or have the ability to convert VHS from PAL or NTSC format, you can buy a copy of this film from its official European release on VHS.

Also, if you have a laserdisc player, you can pay a small fortune (about $150) to the Asian import of Song of the South. I believe it was released in Japan and China.

However, I think the easiest way to get your hands on this movie is ebay. There are a number of vendors on ebay who sell this film on DVD. Essentially, what its nothing more than a bootleg. In most cases, the print of the film is a transfer from the original Laserdisc, so the quality is acceptable, if a bit dark. Depending on the seller, some offer bonus features on these DVDs they put together, such as theatrical trailers, radio anouncements and interviews with the cast. You can expect to pay at least $20 (including shipping) for a copy, but well worth it.

However, the down side to this is, since these DVDs arent official, ebay terminates the auctions as quick as they can find them. So, you might see one available one day, and it could be gone the next. However, there is no legal consequences to bidding/purchasing these DVDs if you can find one available. This, of course, is not something I would normally endorse, but until Disney makes this gem available (and new CEO Bob Iger has made it very clear, it will not be available for some time), I would suggest folks get it anyway they can.

Sorry, that was probably more information than anyone wanted... I get a little long winded with these things.

The North Avenue Irregulars! popcorn::

I thought I went with an oldschool random movie with Follow Me Boys, but the North Ave Irregulars was a great movie.

Anybody remember Toby Tyler?
