Favorite Disney Destination

Hey all.....

As you can tell, I am starting a poll on where Disers like to go the best. Please vote. I know placing it on this board where people are biased, but I also posted it on several other boards. I will add up the results and post them in about a month.

as a note: when I say Disneyland, CA I mean DL & California Adventures. Same with DL Paris & Tokyo.

I guess I don't know if Tokyo or Hong Kong would be my favorite as I've never been there. I haven't been to Disneyland in California, either, in about 20 years. I love the cruiseline, but I'm not sure that you can compare a cruise line to a Disney park. They are very different.

I was just at Disneyland Paris a couple weeks ago and I liked it a lot! There were things I liked about DLP better than WDW and vice versa. Both are great Disney places to visit. If I lived nearer, I'm sure I'd be at DLP more often. If I get to Europe again, DLP will definitely be on my list of places to return to.

I had to pick WDW in your poll. I am there 2 or 3 times each year and own DVC there. I still think it is hard to compare WDW to the other parks only because there is so much more there. While I loved DLP, it doesn't have the Animal Kingdom or Epcot like WDW has. Comparing apples to apples, DLP holds its own against the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios in Florida. Comparing apples to oranges, DLP would come up short only because it lacks AK and Hollywood Studios (still MGM to me.) Some would probably throw in the water parks, too, but I never use them so they wouldn't matter to me that they are missing at DLP. Animal Kingdom is a personal favorite though.

It is hard for me to choose as my favourite Disney park and my favourite Disney resort are in different places. My favourite Disney park is the Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris, the reason being I prefer the rides there and I love that you can go inside the castle. My favourite Disney resort is WDW due to the variety. I love the emersion at WDW, the choice of hotels, the choice of fine dining restaurants, plus I love the backstage tours they do there and the fact that they have great water parks as well. However this may change after my visit to Disneyland in the summer. Something about that being Walts park makes it more special.

Said similar on another board so voted for Tokyo on the basis of the pictures of Tokyo Disney Sea
I'll be most surprised if WDW does not come out on top.

This is very very hard. I've only been to WDW and DLRP. Animal Kingdom is my very favourite park whereas I prefer DLRP's Disneyland park to WDW's Magic Kingdom. I've yet to visit the other Disney parks.

In the end I opted for the Disney cruiseline. I've done a couple of (non-Disney) cruises and loved them, it's definitely the life for me and I can imagine a Disney cruise is la creme de la creme. DH has promised we can go on one to celebrate our silver wedding ~ only five years to wait!!

I voted for WDW only because I live in the US and that's where we most like to go. I would love to visit all of the parks around the world some day. Not sure Tokyo and Hong Kong will get many votes since there are no boards for them here on the DIS. Why can't there be an international forum on the DIS with Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong each having there own threads under that heading? That way maybe fans of the Asian parks might start posting and open up much more info on what their parks are like. JMO

I haven't visited DLRP yet so I'm voting for WDW. I love Epcot, the Florida weather, the fabulous restaurants, the waterparks, Animal Kingdom and of course the shopping!

Having said this I hope I really love DLRP and will want to return there lots!

I love both, I love the Disneyland Park, rides, castle, Walts resturant, being able to stay on the door step of the park. However I also love WDW for the epcot area, DTD, and AK. I am not a big fan of the Magic Kingdom as it is not as good as DLP however I love Splash Mountain. I voted WDW as it more of an adventure going as there is more to do and I always wanted to go as a kid.

I voted DLP over WDW, even though i love both parks as i have said many times DLP holds such a strong place in my heart. I would LOVE to visit Tokyo Disneyland, and hope to get there in the next few years
