favorite dish at Marrakesh?

We've eaten there three times and everything we've ever had was delicious. I really liked the Lemon Chicken and LOVE the Beef Brewet Rolls.

I forget the name of it, but I had the signutur dish. It was a lamb dish. And it was very good. It had some very interesting flavors, that were very good!

I had the Couscous With Lamb Shank and loved it. My favorite item there isn't food but their Moroccan coffee. I am not sure if they still have it but it is was a mixture of regular coffee and espresso with a tiny bit of orange blossom water. I have a bottle of orange blossom water in my fridge now because I thought it was so good I'd make it myself.

Just got back and have to admit this was the most disappointing of our 5 meals. DW had a veal dish that was OK. I had lemon chicken that was dry and overcooked (expected when meals are mass produced). Didn't like the Moroccon beer and DW didn't like the moroccon wine...DD6 loved the belly dancer and her "moroccon" spagetti and meat balls so I guess one of us enjoyed their meal.

We love this restaurant! My husband's favorite dish was one he tried in February. It's a preserved lemon chicken. He was talking about it for a few days. :lmao: My son loves the shish kebabs, he really liked the fact that it also came with hummus. My son and I are big fans of good hummus. I happen to really enjoy the vegetable cous cous. The vegetables taste just like the ones my mom made when I was a kid, so it's a travel back down memory lane for me.

And as for the desserts.. We generally get the Bastilla, very good! My son and I also like to get the mint tea. Besides being very refreshing, it's also really cool to watch the server pour the tea. :thumbsup2

mmmm, most sound like they had a good experience! The only BAD meal we have ever eaten was in Mexico. Looking to try different places this trip. We like spicy/flavorful food. Not just plain meat and potatoes. Anyone have any pics from recently?? If the chicken was dry, wonder if the beef kabobs are any good? 2 weeks to go:yay:

oooh and real coffee??? Can't wait! Can the kids get the beef kabobs too?

Marrakesh - Is one place that has become a mainstay for lunch over the last 9 years.

If would like to try something very tasty....The Chicken Bastilla - baked layers of thin pastry stuffed with minced chicken and almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar $7.95 and Brewat Beef Rolls - layers of thin pastry stuffed with seasoned minced beef, fried and sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar $6.95 :thumbsup2

good suggestions everyone! In all of my 14 trips to Disney... we have never eaten at Marrakesh! We always head to Tangerine Cafe for lunch so maybe that's why?? Can't eat 2 meals in the same country right:lmao: Maybe we will break away and eat lunch somewhere different. The other different to us place this trip is Tutto, and I'm still not feeling it :confused3 Maybe because I'm Portuguese and my husband is Italian...it just doesn't look different or exciting??? We're looking forward to Marrakesh:cloud9:

I absolutely love the Chicken Bastilla. We will be eating dinner there on the first night we arrive... I can't wait :goodvibes

Any of the lamb dishes. However, none of them are spicy. But, they were well-seasoned.

LOVE the Roast Lamb Meshoui - lamb shank with couscous.

For an appetizer it is worth getting the appetizer for 2 because you can sample a few different things.

Mmmm. Now I'm hungry!

Can you get the appetizer for two if you are both on the DxDP?

what exactly can you choose? I was looking at the menu again, and it seems there are a bunch of "feasts" that include various dishes. Are these not included in the basic dining plan? Just the main entrees? Anyone know?

One of my favorite dishes in the world is at Marrakesh....

Couscous M'Rouzia Fassi - Braised beef served with caramelized onions, raisins, honey, almonds and eggs.

I know a lot of people don't love this restaurant, but it is a can't miss one for us!

Last time we were there (March 09) you could choose the feasts for an upcharge of 5 or 6 bucks or something, you could get them on the basic dining plan, but they cost a little extra.

The Moroccan Symphony for dessert was just that. A symphony in taste.
