I’m booking a 5D verandah on the Dream and was just wondering if anyone has a favorite spot to be on the Dream. Deck? Aft, mid, forward? Port or starboard?
Thanks!

Don't if any others feel the same, but my favorite spot is "onboard". I guess mid or aft. That would be the only things I look at.

On the Dream and Fantasy, deck 7 mid is my favorite spot. But I haven't had a location on any ship that I've disliked. I do prefer forward over aft, particularly on the Fantasy due to the vibration issues.

I prefer starboard as it gets you a great view of CC but some have reported it doesn’t always back in so do keep that in mind.

we prefer deck 9 (near the ice cream according to my kids) mid aft, near the aft elevators but more on the mid side. starboard if we can get it so we (likely) have good views of castaway. we did very VERY aft last cruise on deck 9 and didn't care for it. the motion was too much for even me.

Deck 9 as far forward as possible!

I’ve stayed on deck 10 and the verandah overhang didn’t bother me. Even being on the 7th deck was nice and quiet as well and just a few decks below the action.

I prefer to be forward as you have the adult area/satellite falls, Flo’s Cafe and Senses Spa.

I would say 8 only because I found a room I like and it's on 8. It's not really because of the deck itself. I also prefer to be forward as opposed to aft.

We prefer decks 7/8. We rarely take the elevator so it's essentially in the middle - only half the stairs to go up regardless of where you start or where you're going most of the time. We prefer aft mainly because it's closer to Meridian where we like to spend time. We started out originally preferring midship but ended up aft on a few cruises and now we like that. It seems to be a bit quieter because the elevator/stair lobby is less used. But in general, I'd have to say I agree with PrincessShmoo: "on board"!!

We liked Deck 8 aft and would gladly do it again. We don't use the elevators so it's a quick trip up the short stairs to cabanas or down a couple levels to the restaurants/lounges/theaters.

I also liked it because it was sandwiched between decks 9 and 7 which are all staterooms too, so we didn't have any extra noise, and there was a laundry facility right there near our room for convenience.
