My ADR's are set for now, so I am now getting counter service ideas. What is your favorite for breakfast? We'll most likely be staying at POP and I am not sure if we will just eat there each morning or go somewhere else on some of the days. It can be at a resort or park. I have 2 young ones as well DD4 and DS1.5. Also, what do you like for lunch, counter service. We'll most likely be heading towards the hotel each afternoon, so it can be resort or park. Just to let you know my ADR's are 1900 Park Fare & Kona for breakfast. Dinners: 50's Prime Time, Cape May, Akershus, Chef Mickey's, and T-Rex.

By far THE best CS meals I had were at Tangeriene Cafe in Epcot & Flame Tree BBQ at AK. Runners up would be Pecos Bill at MK & Pizza Planet at DHS!

Our favs are Sunshine Seasons at Epcot and WPE.

Those are actually the only 2 places we plan on repeating on our trip in December.:)

I would recommend the food court at Port Orleans Riverside for the pasta bar. So freak'n delicious especially if you like shrimp. The serving size is also huge! More than enough for my DD10 and I to share and both be full once done eating.

When we were at WDW in January and staying at BoardWalk my daughter and I actually made a trip from our resort to a park to change buses and go to POR. Her and I had an amazing meal then placed an order to go for DH and DS16. The guy in line behind us said they were also staying at BoardWalk and had just done the same thing :rotfl2:!

Love your sitdowns... great score .

At Epcot, our family likes the French Bakery in France, the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco, and Sunshine Seasons. A few years ago, I read on the DIS a recommendation for Columbia Harbor House in MK. It has become my go-to CS restaurants in MK because the food is adequate, and it seems quieter than other CS in the park when you find a table on second floor. I can't say I have a recommendation in DHS or AK (not too many choices).

We like to use our snack credits to get pastries for breakfast...especially at Main Street Cafe in MK or at the French bakery in Epcot. Then we use our counter service credits for lunch or dinner.

Also, Earl of Sandwich or Wolf Gang Puck Express in DTD are great counter services places that have brkfst, lunch and dinner.

Thank you all for your input. I understand there was another thread but that thread asked for in the parks. I wanted other resorts too. I won't be spending every minute in the parks. I currently am a passholder, but moving from FL next month. DH and I decided to travel back to Disney to use our passes one more time before they expire. We've been to the parks so much since we live 30 minutes away that we are just looking for a relaxing vacation that we are away from home. We never stayed onsite since we lived so close. But DH wants everything to be laid back

We like Pecos Bills for the variety on the fixins bar, Flame Tree BBQ is really good, and we like Sunshine Seasons for the variety of foods all in one spot

We need more than a room pop tart or bowl of cereal....we usually stay at the WL, Roaring Forks, as all Disney resort food courts offer decent breakfast platters that include eggs, meat, hash browns pancakes and a biscuit....about equal across the board and very good....for a little more in the buffet catagory (without character and cheapest on property) Trails End at FW is a great experience...

Lunch for us, we're hamburger people and any resort hamburger with fries will suffice...if we're feeling adventureous, we'll head to POFQ for their food court, we like their meatball sandwich and beef poorboy, then boat to DTD for a walk thru plus shop a little....but mostly around noon, we prefer to hang at the pool and dine on homemade sandwiches made with groceries we picked up in route (salami, ham, rolls etc) make them in the room, pack some drinks and lounge at the pool in the heat of the day.....

POFQ is about the only resort we travel to since we use Disney transportation system and going to DTD from there is a pleasant boat ride thru the canals....good for a nice visit in the evening and gets wifes shopping done and a nice walk thru of DTD....

Boardwalk bakery has nice breakfast sandwiches and if you go really early in the am, it can be so peaceful on the lagoon. If you want a BIIIIIG breakfast, Cape May Cafe does it right. It's a lesser attended character breakfast (Mickey is not there) and one of the best kept "secrets" at WDW.

Olivia's (at OKW) is surprisingly good for all meals, and a true secret!

Norway has pastries, but those WS restaurants aren't open until 11 of course.

Roaring Forks at WL, Capt Cook's at the Poly (They have the Tonga toast), Earl of Sandwich
I do like Pop for breakfast. The omelettes are good, especially the Key West.

We also do pastries or a yogert parfait for breakfast. BW Bakery, Starring Rolls, Sunshine Seasons, Main St Bakery

Lunch - Roaring Forks, Columbia HH, Tangerine Cafe, Yorkshire F&C, Starring Rolls sandwiches, Kringla Bakery in Norway, Earl, Pop

Have you considered having breakfast items in the room? This is what we do. Then we usually do a CS lunch and a TS dinner. This works for us. We have breakfast foods, soda, water, juice, beer and wine delivered from wegoshop.com. We find that we save an amount equal to their delivery fee, just on the cost of Disney bottled water. We drink a lot of water at Disney.
Favorite CS include, Columbia Harbour House, Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays at the MK, Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco, French Bakery, Sommerfest in Germany, Yorkshire County Fish & Chips in the UK and the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico in Epcot; Flame Tree Barbeque at the AK; nothing outstanding in DHS, I am dying to try Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD. Both get great reviews.
I enjoyed Capt Cook's at the Poly as well
We are usually in the parks at lunch time, so I do not have great resort experience for CS.
