What is your favorite counter service restaurant at Epcot? I need a couple counter service meals there for our upcoming trip. Thanks!

Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. Hummus & falafel, yum yum.

we like Sunshine Seasons for the variety! I've heard on hear a lot seem to like Tangerine Cafe...we are trying that one on our upcoming trip!
I've also done Norway for the school bread :goodvibes and pretzel and of course the Mexico for the magarita, Germany for the beer, France for the Grey Goose :lmao: you get the idea!

Tangierine Cafe for us too. Sunshine Seasons has variety but Tangierine has the best food IMO.

I agree with Sunshine Seasons and Tangierine Cafe. Also Yakitori House is pretty good as well and is in a nice location.

Tangierine Cafe was very accomodating when my DD11 wanted something like she got the day before at the Moroccan F&W booth.

Tangierine Cafe 2 SC (inc. another drink)

Oh, and we tried a few new ones (for us) at WS and they were good too.

The new Cantina in Mexico. One SC! Very good chicken tacos. Also inc. drink. Nice new patio dining area. We watched a turtle underneath us for about 10 min. after we ate.:goodvibes

Kringla in Norway-all this was one SC! And very tasty!

Electric Umbrella - heartburn city - avoid
Sunshine Seasons - superior in practically every way; excellent variety; a real family-crowd pleaser
Tangierine Cafe - very dry, and pretty tasteless as compared to how stuff from the region typically tastes
Liberty Inn - pretty predictable - not bad but not really great
Cantina de San Angel - haven't been since the rehab, but we've had a few really good meals here in a row

From Yakitori House in Japan

Teriyaki Salmon (not on regular menu, on a sign on counter) $11.99

103_2114.jpg

Ginger cake (just okay)

103_2113.jpg
California Roll - avocado, cucumber, seafood mix and smelt roe reverse rolled in sushi rice and seaweed $7.79

Teriyaki Chicken - Chicken thigh served with Teriyaki sauce and steamed rice $7.69

My two favorite CS places in all of WDW are both in Epcot, Sunshine Seasons and the Tangerine Cafe.

It is so hard to chose a favorite since we have had so many good meals at many of the CS's at EPCOT.

Tangerine Cafe- I don't care for hummus and the other stuff, but the lamb and chicken are very good. Also a great place for dessert.

Yakatori House- We eat here every year I think. Just love the Shogun platter.

Sunshine Seasons- Probally the widest variety of choices. You can always find something for everybody, usually.

Kringla Bakery- Good sandwiches and very good desserts.

Yorkshire Fish and Chips-Good and filling. Love the malt vinegar.

So it will depend on your tastes and sense of adventure as to which will best fit your needs.

My family loves Sunshine Seasons. The variety is nice- soups/salads, asian, rotisserie/grill foods and sandwiches. Great desserts too. Plus I love the Land pavilion :lovestruc

My first choice would also go to Tangerine Cafe. We've always been pleased with our food there!

I also really like Japan and France!

I love love LOVE the little bakery in France, they have great sandwiches too! And Yorkshire County Fish Shop is divineeeee. Also, Electric Umbrella is fun, and Sunshine Seasons has a great variety. :) I've also heard great things about the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. We will be trying it on an upcoming trip, so I'll let you know! Just watch for the TR. I've eaten at the table-servicethere, Marrakesh, but not the CS.

Thanks for all of your opinions! I shouldn't have opened this thread this morning. All of the pictures are making me very hungry & I just had breakfast :)

I always have trouble with this question. We love the International CS in Epcot. If I had to name a favorite it would probabaly be the Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco.
But we have also enjoyed:
Sommerfest in Germany
Yakatori House in Japan
French Bakery in France
Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips in the UK
Cafe de San Angel in Mexico - I have not been since they reopened, but the pictures of the new tacos look good.
We were going to try Sunshine Seasons last trip, but we just never made it there.
Good Luck

I *crave* Tangierine Cafe! The Schwarma platter with Lamb.. mmmmm...

I tried Sunshine Seasons with my husband - I didn't love it so much. He ordered a half rotisserie chicken (we had better at WPE) and I had just a cold sandwich. It must have been because it was the very end of the trip and I wanted something different, but I didn't love the sandwich.

I'm very willing to give it another try - but... when I'm at Epcot, I want to eat the exotic food around the world!! :thumbsup2

I like Sunshine Seasons too. Last time I was there I mixed & matched one of the salads so I got the toppings of one salad with the greens of another. They were happy to do it, so if you don't see exactly what you want, ask!

I also agree that there are tons of great food choices in the World Showcase. I am seriously allergic to lamb (wool, lanolin, the works) so I have avoided Tangerine even thought it gets great reviews. If I loved hummus I'd give it a try, but it's not really my thing.
