Just about everything that closed at HS, especially those things that were around when it was MGM. Backlot tour (the original one), streets of America, stunt show, GMR (that one hurt a lot). I loved the old Hollywood theme it had before.
I misread the title a bit. The border is theoretically closed for me, so it's virtually the same.Spaceship Earth is still open. I do miss the Jeremy Irons narration, though.
I’m that old too. The chocolate cake from the bakery while watching the electrical parade was bliss. I’m the same with MGM. Miss it.Hard one. Horizons and World of Motion at Epcot. The original Test Track and Figment and Listening to the Land when they had actual people in the boats instead of the now Living with Land.

The original FWs at MK before they started projections, I'm height challenged and the projection shows are a waste for me as someone always gets in front of me. The gondolas in the sky at MK (yes I'm that old). The original bakery at MK, I'm not a Starbucks fan.

All 3 are at Disneyland! Now you have to go there. They changed 20000 leagues to be Nemo themed but it’s still nostalgic.Without a doubt, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is number 1. (I've been told it's still open at DL.) Also liked the Submarine Voyage based on the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Snow White's Scary Adventure was great, but it terrified my daughter when she was little.
I listen to those songs on YouTube all the time.I miss a lot of the extinct Epcot rides, especially the theme songs!
In the 80s WDW sold cds with a number of those songs, I still have those! Some of those were Sherman Bros. songs, quality stuff!I listen to those songs on YouTube all the time.
Soarin' Over California at Epcot. The updated version just lacks the magic the old one had and the combination of the obvious CGI and the distortions from sitting anywhere other than dead center are so distracting and completely break the immersion of the ride for me.
I wish I knew when "next time" will be. Tampa/St. Pete might be a place for us to go just to enjoy the Gulf, so you never know.
Wonderland is local for me, obviously a more practical place to visit.
For truly permanently closed:
1) Horizons
2) Alien Encounter
For changed, and I want the original back:
1) Journey Into Imagination -- the full ride, with the full imagination/hands-on area at the end.
We (here at Disneyland) have been complaining about this since they made the "new" one.Soarin' Over California at Epcot. I believe sentimental reasons to be the best reasons. Some say perseveration. I call it proactively creating sentiment. For sentimental reasons The exercise cycles with video screens that were located in the “wonders of life pavilion”. When my autistic son was younger, this was his favorite activity. He would sit on my lap and I would pedal so he could watch the video screen. As you pedal, videos would take you through Disneyland, a backyard, inside a house…
