What are your favorite character moments??
One of mine is last year my DH and I had our picture with the evil Queen from Snow White and Cruella DeVille. My husband made Cruella mad my telling the Queen she was hot. So in our picture there is a big gap between me and Cruella. She is standing by herself. The face characters are fun because you can talk to them.

We have a great video of our DD when she was just 9 months old. We were having lunch at the Garden Grill and Minnie came over to visit our table. It was love at first sight for the both of them. Minnie picked up my daughter and the two of them were having a great time together. She kept wiggling her nose and DD kept trying to grab it and put it into her mouth. The interaction went on for a good 10 minutes before the CM finally convinced Minnie it was time to move on to another table. She reluctantly gave me back my daughter, but no more than 30 seconds had passed, and she was once again sitting in our booth with the baby in her arms.

I have two:

1) Garden Grill last year. Farmer Mickey had just come up to my table and I was coloring one of the coloring pages cause I was bored waiting for the food. I had my Tokyo Disney top on and he spotted it. He pointed to it and then the back of my paper. I gave him my paper and got the surprise of my life when he wrote Mickey Mouse in Japaneese. That was so awesome.

2) Riding Winnie the Pooh Ride with all 3 characters that ride the ride early in the morning. I first rode with Eeyore. A month later I got to ride with Tigger. Probably one of my last weeks there I got to ride with Pooh himself. That made my experience even more special.

My fav moment is back in 2001 on my DD's Make A Wish Trip. She was 4 turning 5 on our last day of the trip. On our first day Monday, she was in a very short line to see the bears from the Country Bear Jamboree and got to the first one - he took her hand and escorted her to the other bear and waited for her until she was finished then took her to the next. He continued this until she saw them all. Well - fast forward to Friday, our last day, her birthday-- we are coming through the castle and suddenly a large group of characters come out and here comes the bear. He spys my DD and stops and motions her over and I ask if he remembers her - he shakes his head yes and stays at the rope playing with her. The CM is trying to get him moving to the area in front of the castle and he won't go - the CM finally takes him by the arm and they start down the ramp - he is waving for my DD to meet him down there and keeps turning around being silly until he can't see her anymore. We walk on to the front of the castle and there he is waiting for DD and takes her hand and takes her to a CM - the CM then takes her and accompanies her to the front of every character line (asking those waiting if they mind that she is on a MAW trip and is a very special guest). She got every characters autograph that was out that afternoon (probably at least over 20). She felt very special and I had tears for a good hour.

Disney is wonderful for the MAW kids and they truly made her trip a once in a life time experience.

:p When my DD was 4 (she's 19 now!!!!) we lost her in Mickey's Toon Town. DW and I were frantically searching for her and calling her name. When I came around the little playground I saw Tigger standing there waving his arms and pointing to his backside. Sure enough there was my DD hanging on to Tiggers tail!!!!!!!:p

Mine was this past summer, when we were at CRT and Cindy and Sleeping Beauty came over at the same time to pose for a pic....my DS3 was in between them, then Cindy told me that she thought they needed to take one more pic, and that I should take it on the count of 3. When they got to 3, they both leaned in and kissed my son on the cheek. He had big lipstick prints on both cheeks, and he was smiles from ear to ear. It was so cute!:)

Isn't Disney the best?? My story was when we were in Eurodisney (or Disneyland Paris) and we were walking with our 5 yr old daughter and infant son. Out of one of the doors walks Cinderella. My dd was so thrilled to see Cindy. Cindy came over (no one else was around) and spoke to my daughter for like 15 minutes. My dd couldn't understand a word because it was all in French, but she didn't care. We got it all on tape. Cindy was stroking my dd's hand and speaking so gently to her. One of these days we need to get the tape translated! What a perfect moment. My dd's 15 min. claim to fame!!:D

We were having breakfast at Donald's Breakfastaurous in AK. My son had on his brand new Davy Crockett coon-skin cap he had purchased the night before (it was all we could do to get him to leave the rifle in the room). Goofy came over and was very excited. He wanted his picture taken with my son! I took a picture and then he took the autograph pen and wrote on a napkin: "I had my picture taken with Davy Crockett!! Goofy" My son was so excited - we still have that note from Goofy!

I have two with my daughter, but both were because of my daughter's reaction to the character. One was with Minnie at 1900 Park Fare breakfast. My daughter was just completely in love with Minnie and you could see it in her eyes and Minnie could tell it and they hugged and hugged and hugged all over again - the pictures are wonderful. Then at CRT breakfast the way she interacted with Cinderella - well, any adult would've acted the same way had we met Princess Diana. I will never forget her face - to her this was royalty!

Wow, what a great thread!

In Dec 1994, at MVMCP, DS(then 11mos) my mom and I were waiting in MK adventure land, Chip and Dale came over and played with him for quite a while. No one else was around. We took a ton of pictures. On our last visit, this past July, while we were at Chef Mickey's, Chip comes around to our table and I say "Chip, we brought Patrick back, we have a great picture of you with him when he was a baby". Patrick is now 9. Chip waves and makes a thumb's up and motions that Patrick has really grown. Later that evening, DS asks if Chip really remembered him! Oh the Disney magic!

Also this past trip, my baby, 17mos, loves Pooh. We were the 1st in line at ToonTown to see Pooh, when they opened the door to go into the room, Pooh was right there and grabbed the baby out of my arms and swung her around. She loved it! We have a geat picture of it.

Early entry at MK we walked up to the pooh ride and pooh came out and rode with us. Great start to a magical day!!

Mine was 5 years ago. WE we eating at the Contemporay.
There was a Character Dinner going on in another part of the resturant, we were separated from it by some lants. While eating, Goofy looked through the plants to wave at my 4 month old DD. I had my back to him and did not see him, when I did turn around I screamed, I never ecpected to see him, and he never expected me, an adult to get so scared. He felt so bad,
the rest of our dinner he would make alot of noise before coming near us! I don't think we ever laughed so much at a Disney dinner.

Some of these stories are bringing tears to my eyes. Oh please keep them coming!

In 2002 my family and I went to disney and it was going to be my two youngest sons (4 and 5) first time. They had been upsessed with buzz lightyear and woody. when we came up to Al's Toy Barn where buzz and woody had been my boys eyes just lite up and then they took pictures with them. To see there faces when they saw them made me want to cry because they were their favorites caracters

My brother and I were in the Morrocco pavillion and met aladdin. My brother will say anything, so he asks the guy, "where get I get those shoes", aladdin replied in his howntown(i can't spell it). Just a funny encounter.

At Chef Mickey's my 7YO son was putting milk on his cereal when Goofy came up and started piling on M&M's, whipped cream and all the other candy he could find. By the time he was finished you couldn't see the cereal.

Not a nutritious breakfast but a memorable one.

Most of my favorite experiences have been with the face characters. I think the most memorable was when I first met Pocahontas. It was right after the movie had come out and I was a huge fan at the time. While I was at the American Adventure at EPCOT, they were doing a meet and greet with all the characters from Pocahontas. Ratcliffe and Meeko were out, but Pocahontas was no where to be found. I was wondering where she was when a CM came up to me and asked if I wanted to meet Pocahontas. I supose I was standing at the right place. I said yes and was escourted to an area where Pocahontas was. She signed my autograph book and asked me if I had seen her movie and how I liked it. I told her that I loved it and she was very flattered. Then she taught he how to say hello like she had with John Smith in the movie. She actually spent a lot of time talking to me. It was very cool. After that, I met Meeko who was also very playful and really a lot of fun.

Back when Fulton's was the Empress Lilly, and it still had a character breakfast, Pluto came over and tickled the daylights out of my (very reserved, and very ticklish) Dad. Somewhere, there's a picture of him, red-faced from laughter, with Pluto lurking mischeviously nearby.

Also, I have vague memories of Captain Hook and Mr. Smee cavorting around the pool at the Polynesian Village. This was 1972, and I was 4 years old, but it stayed with me.

We were in the MK with my then 4 year old DD, right after 9/11/01. The parks were nearly deserted. Pooh came out of Toontown, picked my DD out of a small crowd of children, held her hand as they walked to the Barnstormer, then road the roller coaster with her. Just the two of them.. It was great. I'm not sure who was more excited...DD or me. LOL.

Great thread by the way. It shows lots of the famous Magic we are all searching for in our lives.

My favorite encounter happened in DL. We were at the park when it opened and went straight to fantasyland. My DD 18 mo loved the carusel so we went there first. While we were waiting for them to open the gate, the characters from Alice in Wonderland started to come down the street complete with marching band. Just then they opened the gate and the seven of us got on much to our suprise the characters followed and so did the band. It was just our group with an entire band filling all the horses and playing as we road. Alice and the MH sat on each side of my DD. She was more interested in the horse she road but its a memory I will never forget. When I showed her pictures her only comment was that she didn't like the MH.
