Favorite Character Meal

Hard to say- with 2 younger children, we do multiple character meals each trip.

We usually do Tusker House each trip for breakfast and 1900 PF for dinner. We've had nothing but great character interactions at both.

I personally enjoy breakfast at Crystal Palace with the create your own omelet station and Pooh's puff toast.

Ppo breakfast at Crystal Palace and Tusker House dinner are our favourites.

The character meals we did so far:

CM brunch: overpriced and bad

Akershus lunch and 1900PF breakfast: okay. Would go back.

Ppo breakfast at CRT: not bad food but overpriced and rushed interactions with princesses.

I don't have a particular favorite - I'm easy to please. My boys love Chef Mickey's almost more than the parks themselves. Every time we book a vacation they make sure we're eating at CMs.

1900 Park Fare was our fave thanks to the stepmother and stepsisters. They were incredible! Best, best, best character interaction of the trip. Also, the food was pretty good, too. The strawberry soup was yummy, and there was a butternut squash/hazelnut ravioli that was super tasty. The downside for us was the noise level. Oh my stars was it ever loud. We almost left as soon as we were seated, but in the end, we were all glad we stayed.

We tried the Chip and Dale b'fast at Garden Grill this time around and loved it! Farmer Mickey and Pluto were also there. Chip and Mickey stopped by our table multiple times during our breakfast. The food and service were also really, really good.

We've been to many over the years at WDW and enjoyed all. But the top of the list was a couple years ago on a visit to the west coast. Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel had the usual four characters plus two face characters--the Mad Hatter and Aladdin. The cast member that played the Mad Hatter really, really got into his role and had the whole room in stitches.

For us it's Tusker House hands down. We've tried a few others and Tusker is the only one we've chosen to return to. Their food is unique and well done and unlike most of the other character meals the food is actually really good.

NOTE: Results are listed from best to worst. Overall, Tusker House wins due to best food and the length of time the characters stay at each table. A close second is 1900 Park Fare. By far, Chef Mickey's is the loser, due to mediocre character interaction and almost terrible food quality. The very distant second worst is Cinderella Royal Table, for brief time at tables by characters and the new menu. For non-character breakfast buffets, we prefer The Wave (CR) or Trail's End (FW).

Another vote for Tusker House! Our best experience with character interactions, food selection, and atmosphere.

Garden Grill!! We added it last minute on our last trip and it wound up being amazing!! Love how the restaurant rotates and your view is constantly changing!! Food is great (we had breakfast), and we also had the added perk of meeting all the characters together before they started going to tables, since we were the first family of the day!

I'd say Tusker House and Garden Grille. Garden Grill they spent a LOT of time at each table, on multiple trips. It was my sons bday, and Chip n Dale even sat down at the table to help him color. :) amazing food too!

Tusker was a wait to be seated, but the Character interaction (IMO) was good. Donald made the rounds while we were still waiting outside and we got pics with him first. The rest of the gang was pretty lively doing a Conga line during our lunch. Food was good too from what I recall.

Crystal Palace PPO Bkfst.. Character interaction was good. We were right at an aisle so got multiple trips by all the characters. Food IMO not worth the price. You're def paying for the Characters there.

My daughter likes Akershus because she gets to see a lot of the princesses at one place.

My favorites are Garden Grill for dinner and 1900 Park Faire for breakfast.

The only character meals that we haven't done are 1900 for dinner and Cape May for breakfast. Those two stand out as the best food from all of the ones we have tried. Characters were great at Garden Grill but kinda meh at breakfast at 1900 for our visit.

Ohana was great - food was good, I like the Polynesian hotel, and we are Stitch fans. Loved Akershus. DD was five so it was a hit with her. Three of the princesses were a little quick (Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White) but Ariel took her time which was perfect because she was DDs favorite. She got to hold her hand in the little parade, it was really sweet!

1900 Park Fare dinner. Just can't beat the shenanigans of the step-sisters and the faces and comments from Lady Tremaine!

My family really enjoys Chef Mickey's and the interaction that we can all have with the characters. Even my DS who is 17 years old had a blast with the characters at Chef Mickey's.
