I really love Crystal Palace for Pooh & friends! Been for both breakfast and dinner, and can't complain about either. It can get busy, but the characters seem to make their way around pretty efficiently. Going for lunch this August.
For Princesses, I highly suggest Akershus. It's a little pricey, but I think if you're on the Dining Plan it's a really great deal! Before sitting down, you're photographed with one of the princesses (it's a specific one that rotates - one time I was there it was Ariel, another time it was Belle), and you receive the photo in a cute folder (included in the cost of the meal). I've only been for lunch, but it always seems way more relaxed than most character meals, and the princesses don't seem rushed. There's a cold buffet, but then you choose an entree, so I think the quality of food is better than many character meals.
I'm trying out Tusker House this trip for breakfast, so I'm excited to try that out. The only character meal I've been to and really didn't care for was 1900 Park Fare for dinner, although many people enjoy the characters.
