What is yours? Your child's?

We have ADR for both dinner @ Chef Mickey's and lunch @ the Crystal Palace. Is this overkill?

We couldn't get ADR's for Chef Mickeys, We had dinner at CP. My kids were like are you kidding me we are eating with Winnie the Pooh. (dh14&ds10) We had breakfast at Tusker House in the Ak and they loved that one. I think the food was better. But what's more important is that I enjoyed them and now I have pictures to tease them with for the rest of their lives.

I enjoy the fact of getting our character photos done and out of the way at meals. I take in as many character dinnings so we always get in Crystal Palace. Last trip was the first time we got one at Chef Mickeys and we loved it. CP was okay food but we really enjoyed CM. Only done breakfast...

CM is our all ime favorite, but I would say 2 are not at all overkill, plus they are different characters. We have been known to do 5 or 6 in one trip when our kids were younger. CP is very good too, but CM---there is nothing like it!!!

Not overkill for our family...10 nights on the DxDP and the majority of them were character meals (many repeated). We liked CM for Dinner, but preferred breakfast. CP was great for breakfast and lunch...DS5 and DD3 were not THAT into Pooh and friends, but the food was good and the characters/parade/buffet kept the kids occupied...as in all the character meals. We saw the meals as a chance to take a break and see the characters without long lines in the parks.

My family always did Chef Mickey's when I was growing up, but last month, we couldn't get in so we went to Ohana's instead and the kids really liked it.

The food was really good (the fresh juice was yummy) and the 4 characters (Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto) were able to spend a lot of time at each table. The little parade they do every so often was a huge hit too.

Ours is actually the character meal at 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. Food is killer, Cinderella and the mice are cute, and Prince Charming is a hoot. Lay off the lip gloss, buddy!

Seriously, the bread pudding with warm vanilla sauce is to DIE for there...

This is our favorite, too. Love the step-sisters!!!

Overkill? :lmao: You're asking DISers if two character meals is overkill? Of course not!! We do at the very least three a trip! CM and CP are both great, but we've only done breakfast at both places. I really liked the 'Ohana Best Friends breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey.

By doing CM and CP you're not seeing the same characters twice. Does anyone know if Garden Grill at Epcot still has characters at dinner?

two is definitely not overkill! 2 trips ago we did 9, last trip we did 4; I think 9 was a lot, but my kids enjoyed them and were entertained. And no standing in character lines- if only they'd do a Peter Pan meal with Tink.... but I digress.
Our kids fave is Akurshus, but they love em all. The only bad experience we had was at CM's, but I think that was due to an individual CM and not the restaurant.

We really loved Garden Grill at Epcot. The food was really good, served family style, and the characters got to spend a lot of time at each table.

Apparently they stopped serving lunch after our last visit there, which is too bad.

Ours too! We like CM too, but only for breakfast. Next trip we're thinking about trying The Garden Grill, if anyone has any opinions.

We do the Garden Grill on almost every trip. The characters are Mickey--farmer style, Chip and Dale and I think Pluto and/or Goofy. I think the food there is really good. It is served family style so you don't have quite the variety you do at the buffet, but they do ask if you want seconds on the food so there isn't an issue with having enough. The restaurant rotates so that is entertaining for the kids as well.

Not overkill at all - one is Pooh, one is Mickey. We did 3 on DDs 1st trip, a Pooh, a Mickey and a Princess. It was a perfect variety and she loved them all.

YAY! We are doing Cinderella's Royal Table, 1900 Park Fare and Garden Grill. GLad those have good reviews!

The food from Garden grill comes from the Living With The Land ride, which you can see when the restaurant rotates around it.

Do the ride first, and then you'll see the veggies on your plate at GG. It's cool!:thumbsup2

Crystal Palace Breakfast is absolutely the best. You get into MK early, the characters are everywhere, and the food is absolutely yummy!

HAHA - what was I thinking asking you all if two meals was overkill? I forget that I'm among fellow Disney fanatics here. :lmao:

We're doing dinner at Chef Mickey's our first night and then having lunch at Crystal Palace.:thumbsup2
