We have a couple of favorites at WDW, is there any really good ones at DLR?

Some people may laugh at the word good and buffet in the same sentence however we LOVE Bomas at AKL and Crystal Palace for both bfast and dinner.

What are your favorites?

Goofy's Kitchen is a character buffet located at the Disneyland Hotel. They offer both breakfast/brunch and dinner and they have a really good selection of food.

Storyteller's at Grand Californian Hotel also offers a character breakfast buffet and their food is supposedly pretty good as well (I have never been though).

Minnie & Friends also has a character breakfast buffet (buffeteria style). Food is more like cafeteria quality but they have the most characters.

I'm not sure if there are any other buffets at DL but of the 3, Goofy's gets my pick ;)

Goofy's kitchen will remind you(food wise) of Crystal Palace. Lots of things to choose from and food is pretty good but nothing special. Storytellers is one of my favorites of all Disney buffets. Not as many choices, but the food is usually really good. My wife loves the eggs Benedict-she claims it is the best shes had. Not as many choices as Boma maybe, but on par quality wise. Nice atmosphere too-if you are into that. The one at the Pier is ok and I have never eaten at the Minnie one that is inside Disneyland. Tend to do breakfast more than the dinners.

Try the bar at the Grand Cali for finger foods in the evening. Its a little pricey, but they always have pretty good eats. We always go at least one night when we are beaten down from the parks and eat there. No wait, comfy chairs, etc...

Our family birthday dinner buffet is always Storytellers in the Grand Californian. If you like Boma's and Crystal Palace, then I would start with Storyteller's for dinner. We recently went to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. A little bigger selection but we enjoy Storyteller's more. BUT we did notice that one side of their hot service was a little more sophisticated than the last time we were there. I even wrote it down ;) Plantains, BBQ ribs, mashed yukon potatoes (yum) grilled veges and salmon. The other side had their usual potatoes, "fried rice"(in quotes because as a Chinese woman I wouldn't have serve that fried rice to anyone), fried chicken (not as salty or greasy as Plaza Inn) baked ziti pasta and potstickers plus meat carving station with beef and turkey.

Storytellers has meat carving station usually with beef, sometimes turkey but a few times with a wonderful pork roast, salmon, chicken (not fried), a chef's choice of meat, pasta, garlic mashed potatoes, veges (different every time we go and usually what ever is in season), the best corn chowder plus salads. Their dessert selection is not as big as Goofy's Kitchen but taste better. We'll be at Storytellers in a few weeks for my DD's birthday dinner.

We've had breakfast at both Goofy's Kitchen and Storytellers. Neither is a must do repeat for us, but we are not breakfast buffet folks and until recently didn't have small children. But now with our new DGD, we might going to more of these character buffets.

Love love love Boma.

Though not a buffet, I like Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. All you can eat, in the park, for only $19.99 for an adult for lunch. That has got to be the best value in the whole darn park. Plus a little entertainment comes with....
