Favorite budget park meals

I need a Disney distraction from real-life, so I'm wondering what are everyone's favorite quick service lunch/dinner options that won't break the bank. My kids can all agree on pizza, not-too-spicy Mexican food, chicken in pretty much every form (fried, baked, marinated in sweet sauces), and plain turkey sandwiches. I will eat all of the above but really want seafood and bacon cheeseburgers. :) My kids are over age nine but kids' meals are enough food for my petite DD.

My favorites are in DtD, Wetzel's Pretzel Pretzel Dog combo and the Earl of Sandwiches. Inside the park there isn't really anything that excites me anymore, prices have gone up, and the quality just isn't the same as it was a few years ago.

Just outside the park, love The Pizza Press on Harbor and Mimi's Café are good options, as is Panera Bread.

Pizza Press sounds like a good option to take a meal back to the hotel

Share. We always share. The Plaza Inn meals are big enough for two. Skip soda, it's $$. Share snacks. Drink water.
That is very true. The Plaza Inn meals are enormous. I have two very big dudes and myself to feed and we always share two fried chicken meals between us. There is usually food leftover.

Whitewater Snacks has good food at a decent price in a great setting. My son gets the pizza that comes with a salad, one daughter gets the chicken nachos, the other daughter gets chicken nuggets with fries, hubby gets a burger and fries, and I get a yogurt parfait. You will find something for everyone. You can relax indoors or outdoors, either way, it is one place we make sure to stop by every day during our trip. The Mexican take out (forget the name, I think Cocina )in DCA by Pacific Wharf has a huge chicken salad that is big, great tasting and filling for a few people to share. Tomorrowland Terrace has a few good items when you are in the park looking for breakfast. Hubby gets the breakfast burrito, two of my three kids order the breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit the other kid picks something like the kid's meal or just a drink and I order a fruit platter. We all share and everyone is happy and full.
The Golden Horseshoe Revue, we order two or three orders of chicken nuggets that comes with fries and one or two orders of fish and chips (depending on who wants fish), and we share. Sometimes we only order 2 chickens, other times it is 2 chickens and one fish, it just depends on everyone's appetite.
Jamba Juice in DTD is a place we love to stop by when everyone is thirsty.

Inside the parks, I love to get the Chicken Sausage in A Pretzel Roll at Village Haus. It even comes with Sauerkraut! I love getting this and it's still under $10. Over at DCA, I like to go over to the cozy cones and grab the Chile Cone Queso or Chile Verde Cone. Both are under $8 and very good. Of course, I never save money there, because as soon as I'm done I'm either grabbing an ice cream cone or heading over to Flo's for a milkshake to put out the fire.

My kids are big spaghetti and meatball fans, so my DH and I split a plate of the spaghetti from Pizza Port with each of our boys. Pretty cheap meal. We drink water pretty much all day at the parks, but let them get milk if that is what they feel like at meals. We also love Pizza Press across the street. Boys share a pizza and DH and I get our own. We always have leftovers. In fact, last time we ate the leftovers for breakfast on the drive home ;) LOL!

Share. We always share.

This is what I was going to say! We usually buy two meals for the four of us! At most!
There are always plenty of places to get more snacks and food, but throwing away leftovers is just a waste of money!
We like the fried chicken meal at plaza inn, at stage door cafe we usually get one fish and chips and one chicken nuggets meal, or two corn dog meals (you get fries instead of chips there, so more filling), In DCA, at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, we like the sundried tomato pasta (my 5 and 7 year olds inhale this).

I'm glad to hear that the Plaza Inn fried chicken is very filling. I want to try it but couldn't justify the price for just one person's meal.
