I ran a search but didn't find this thread, so I thought I'd start it myself.

I'm curious what people's favorites are. We're Universal newbies and will be spending 2 days plus 1 morning at Universal in May. We're staying on-site. I'd like to know what people would suggest we hit first so that if we love it too we'll have time to ride it again (and maybe again... and maybe again?).

Great thread idea...
I'm a newbie to US also so I am looking forwad to hearing answers. We are leaving Friday!!

Hey hows it going! The mummy is without a doubt the best ride at universal orlando! Dudley is my favorite at islands of adventure enjoy your trip!:thumbsup2

IOA:

Dr Doom

Studios:

Mummy

it is not easy to list only the one favorite.

i know you didn't ask but my favorite show out of both parks is:
Horror Make Up Show.

Ohhh this is a hard one. I guess if I can only pick one, my top pick for Universal Studios is definitely Revenge of the Mummy. For Islands of Adventure I would have to say Spiderman. My top 5 would be, in order:

Universal

Revenge of the Mummy
Hollywood Horror Make-up Show
Men in Black
Shrek
Earthquake (now Disaster)

Islands of Adventure

Spiderman
Jurassic Park
Dudley Do-Right
Popeye
Sinbad

I can't do the big coasters so I had to leave them out. If it were my kids they would replace Sinbad and Popeye with the Hulk and Dueling Dragons and put those at the top, followed by Spiderman.

Have to do two:

USF: Mummy and Men in Black
IOA: Popeye and Spiderman

I love basically everything :)!

But my favourite of my favourites for each park would be :

US - Mummy !!
IOA- Spiderman

We haven't been to US since May 2000, but I remember how much we LOVED Spiderman, it's just amazing, we can't wait to go back this and ride it this year! I don't do big rollercoasters, but my hubby loved both DD and The Hulk. This year, I'm excited to do Spiderman again and I'm dying to ride ROTM!!!!

US- Mummy or Simpsons (we're huge fans of the show)
IOA- Spiderman or Cat in the Hat (we're teachers, we love books)

Universal

1. RoTM and T2-3D (tie)
2. Simpsons
3. Shrek 4-D

IOA

1. Spiderman
2. Jurassic Park
3. Incredible Hulk

I would pick Mummy and Spiderman. My ds would pick MIB and Jurassic Park. My dh prefers Spiderman and MIB. If you have youngsters in your party, Seussville (I mean the entire area), Shrek and the Jurassic Park Discovery Center are good -- but don't waste your time on pteranodon(sp?) flyers. Seriously, a long wait for not much. The Horror Make-up show should not be missed -- unique and very entertaining!

Well I'd definitely agree with the Mummy for Universal. Strange though not many votes for the Hulk at IoA. Get there early, run for the Hulk and do the front row (left lane at the top of the spiral queue).

If you haven't ridden Hulk before that take-off from the front row is simply awesome.

Then run around a queue again for the back row - makes a totally different ride.

Only then consider Spiderman or Dr Doom.

Thanks for the tip and the great pic, too. :thumbsup2 I've really been enjoying the Universal pics of the day - a wonderful way to get ready for the trip. We are coaster lovers, so first row will be our first experience of Hulk after reading your post.

Universal Studios
Mummy
MIB

Islands of Adventure
Duelling Dragons
Bluto's Barges

Thats an interesting call - Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rate Barges.

You *will* get wet.......
