What is your favorite April Fools Joke? Mine happened a few years ago. It was at LA Airport. There was some construction going on, and the construction workers got this big sign, that people could read as they were coming in to land. It said "Welcome to Chicago".

One I would do if I ever got the money for it, I would buy an old Pacer, make it waterproof, fill it with water and gold fish.

Anyone else?

Jason in English class told the teacher that he liked her class.

my favorite April Fools joke was played on me back in High School. I went to a parochial high school in So. CA. It was small, with the classrooms surrounding an open quad. Fairly strict...no going off-campus for lunch, etc. This was my freshman year.

Well, the day or a couple of days before April 1 some friends from the local public high school came to drop something off for me. I snuck out to the parking lot to get it. One thing led to another and I ended up jumping in their car and we went to McDonald's for lunch.

I thought I had made it, when they dropped me off. Still with my unfinished coke in my hand I ran hurredly back into the quad. Who did I run into but one of the Brothers...he was a teacher of mine who later became principal. I was flustered and made up some excuse (he hand't even asked for one)...it was windy, my papers blew into the parking lot and I had to fetch them. All the while hiding my McDonald's cup behind me in the folds of my uniform.

Well, some friends at school knew I did this. I walked into French class on April 1st and there was a note from the office stating I was in trouble and needed to go at once. I froze. My heart dropped. I probably turned white as a sheet.

Then my friend, Mark, stated laughing. He had gotten ahold of an office pad and thought it would be a great joke. It was. Took me a while to stop shaking. LOL!

Actually, the funniest thing I've ever heard about April Fool's day was that my DH and his first wife were married on April 1!!!

Unbelievable. No wonder it didn't last. Lucky for me! :teeth:

One year, I looked up the White House phone # & put a note on my former boss' desk that said "Call Ron - Urgent" (Reagan was Pres then). He was out of the office and by the time he returned, I forgotten about it. Besides, I really thought he would catch on and we would have a good laugh. The next thing I knew, I heard him say "This is ______ returning Ron's call." Ooops!

When the phone bill came for that month, he made me pay for the call. I told him it was the best 50 cents I had ever spent. ;)

my chemistry teacher had a quiz scheduled for today, and yesterday one of my friends was convinced that the quiz was an April Fools Joke and that there really wasn't one. But my best friend and i knew that there really was, so this morning before school we got our teacher to write "quiz cancelled" on his dry erase board...everyone came into class this afternoon, looked at the board and said "there's no quiz?" and my friend was feeling pretty smart since he had "correctly" predicted that there was no quiz.

they all felt pretty dumb when the teacher passed out the quiz and said that the quiz being cancelled was the real joke!:p

My youngest ds was born on April 1st. I had a very easy delivery, so I got on the phone to let everyone know he had arrived, i sounded so good that everyone I called thought it was an April fools joke!

I just helped my DD pull off an April Fools Prank. It was to her ear doctor. He is an awsome guy! She had an appt. this morning with him. (she is only 14 and has had 16 ear surgeries on her left ear) She has been doing good for the past 2-3 months, so we decided to take some fake blood (we made it ourselves) and put it around her ear and then on a gauze pad and taped it over ear. When we got there we told his nurse what we were planning and she started laughing. We get called back to the exam room and waited for him to come in. We could hear his nurse telling him that things weren't going so well with my DD and that she was in alot of pain. He finally came in and asked what was going on with the ear and the pain. I told him that she has been in pain and that wasn't the only thing wrong...it was also bleeding. My DD told him that it started yesterday and that it really hurt. He sat down at the microscope and started to take off the gauze and my DD said...April Fools!! It was so funny. I thought we were giving him a heart attack. It loved it! I just wish I could have gotten it all on tape.

My favorite has to be the year we didn't tell my oldest dd that it was April 1.
See, she loves playing tricks on us and since she didn't remember, we didn't remind her. This was about 8 years ago and she's still angry with us about it. lol

My birthday is today (April Fools Day) and when I was younger my mom told me she had to cancel my party. Once I started crying she felt bad and said "April Fools" Also, every year I get "haha you were a joke" and "Happy Birthday...April Fools"
It is a fun birthday though -- everyone usually remember it!! :)
