Favorite all time memory at WDW

My favorite memory was our first trip to Disney with our girls this past September. My 2 year old is totally in love with Snow White and we had been trying to find Snow White. While at Epcot, we heard Snow White would be coming out in Germany at 2 pm. It was about 10 minutes until 2, so we sat down on a bench near where she was supposed to come out. Anyway, my dd caught a glimpse of Snow White as she was coming out and took off running towards her yelling Snow White, Snow White. Snow White bent down to receive the hug from my dd as she came running towards her and the Photopass photographer snapped the photo. My favorite picture of the whole trip.

Our first trip with kids was back in early 2000. We had our DS (3 1/2) and DD (1 1/2). On our first day, we went to MK and did the Dumbo Dash. We were in the first group to ride Dumbo. Mickey and Minnie used to always be there for "Dumbo's First Flight" and they would each choose a child to ride with them. Minnie chose my daughter! Minnie, DS, DD and I all rode together, and then Minnie took both of my kids' hands, and walked them through Fantasyland to the area across from the Winnie the Pooh ride that used to be a character meeting area. It was so special, we have video and photos from that wonderful morning. My children were the first to get character photos that day at MK too. The CM lead them to each character (Mickey, Minnie and Goofy) for personal time and photos. What a way to start a vacation! DS and DD are now 11 and 9, and this summer's trip will be their 6th to WDW.:goodvibes

I am a former CM and still have several friends who work for Mickey. We have been on several trips to WDW and when my boys were little they were afraid of most of the rides and shows. We spent many vacations parade watching. Disney was always my thing and my family just went with it. Well in the summer of 2006 my boys and I went to Disney with my parents for 10days. My hubby couldn't get time off from work to come with us. It was a great vacation!! The boys were finally brave enough to try all the rides even TOT and RNRC! On the last day we were on the boat headed back to the TTC from Magic Kingdom and both boys broke down in tears and asked if we took back all of our souvinors if we would have enough money to stay for two more days. It was at that moment I knew my boys would be life long Disney fans. My hubby and I were able to take the boys back for spring break in 2007 and we had a great time. We were given several dreams and had another magical trip but I will always remember that last night of our summer trip.

Our favorite disney memory was when Tigger hugged my husband and knowing my husbands personality is like understanding he is the type that is not very affectionate unless required to do so and not a touchy feely person in the least bit and my girls about died of laughter when it happened and we got a snapshot of it too LOL

Okay, this may seem like a strange thing to pick as a favorite Disney moment, but here it goes...

Last March we were in Epcot, around lunch time. We were all very hungry and getting pretty worn out from all of the adventures. We decided to grab some food from the McDonalds place. Since we couldn't find anywhere to sit, I said "C'mon, let's just have a picnic!" We found a spot right by the water and began eating. My kids LOVE picnics so they thought this was great! Well, it didn't take long for the seagulls to figure out that we had food. Soon they were all on the other side of the fence from us begging for some handouts. Of course, we tossed them a few french fries....then more showed up. My DD6 was holding a chicken nugget in her hand and before she took a bite she was telling us something. Well what do you know, one of those seagulls swiped down with a "CAAAWWW!!!" and snatched that chicken nugget right out of her hand! DD said "HEY! HE TOOK MY NUGGET!!!" The seagull flew out over the water.....with about 37 other birds following right behind him yelling "CAAWW, CAAWW" We all started laughing hysterically!! We finally stopped laughing and continued eating and discussing what we were going to do next. About 20 minutes later we heard "CAAW, CAAW" and we looked out over the water and do you know that that bird was still being chased by all of the other seagulls, AND STILL HAD THAT CHICKEN NUGGET IN HIS MOUTH!! That put us all over the top, I almost peed my pants laughing so hard. So now when we talk about Disney, my 3 DDs all bring up the chicken nugget/seagull incident and they say that was the BEST part of Disney World!!!

My fave moments come from our Dec. '05 trip to Disney. It was our kids 1st trip to WDW - DD was 3 and our son was about 9 months at the time. Our first day we were walking around Epcot's world showcase and our DD was taking in all of the sights, when who happens to be walking by us, but Sleeping Beauty! My DD just stopped and started staring at her with eyes as big as saucers. She ran up to her gave her a big hug and she said to Sleeping Beauty, "Look, you're on my sweatshirt!" and proceded to point to Sleeping beauty on her shirt. It was the cutest moment and her first encounter w/ a Disney Princess! (she is still obsessed w/ them to this day!)

My other memory from that trip was that our family was selected to be a flag family at the WL. It was great to see the parks from that perspective and we have lots of wonderful photos of our whole family! My DD loved helping raise the flags, and eveyday after that when we came back to the hotel, she would say, "look Mommy & Daddy - there are my flags!"

OK, I'm a sap... I'm all teary eyed reading this.

My most wonderful awsome favorite memory is my then 9 year old on Splash Mountain. His is autistic and was non-verbal. About 1/2 way into his 1st ride on Splash Mtn he started talking! "Look Mommy Braer Rabbit" Look Mommy Braer Fox" "Look daddy its a chipmonk"

My hubby oldest son and I were crying our eyes out. The CM's were quite upset and asked what was wrong... through some blubbering we told them and on the ride we went again.

When I asked his school if we could take a week off from school they couldn't wait for us to go. Disney unlocked speach for our great kiddo and the school is happy to see him return to his magical place! :)

Wow! What a great story! I'm a special education teacher and work with little ones just diagnosed with PPD. Perhaps I should tell them to go away  Thanks for sharing!
