We are not sure if we should make reservations somewhere or try a CS meal at AK for lunch. I've eaten at RFC in DTD and we liked it. I think we ate at the Tusker House back in '06. Which is your favorite and why? TIA :goodvibes Feel free to tell me if I left one out that you enjoy.

Even though I normally don't like the type of food served at Yak & Yeti, I made a ressie last September at my DH's request (we were celebrating our 25th anniversray and I had to let him pick some of our meals) so I made an ADR for late afternoon one day. Well, I am so glad I did. It turned out to be the second best meal of our trip. We were traveling with our best friends and all four of us had terrific meals. Flame Tree is our favorite for a counter service meal.

We enjoy Flame Tree for CS. Not a fan of Tusker House since it went to TS, liked it better as a CS. Haven't tried Yak & Yeti yet, would like to though. :)

Another Flame Tree family here. Would like to give Yak and Yeti a try though, maybe over the next couple of trips.

Another vote for Flame Tree. We really like the food and each there every trip!

I love Yak and Yeti and I love Flame Tree BBQ. I like to go to Yak and Yeti at lunch time when its hot and I want some A/C. The food is good and its beautiful inside. I do really like Flame Tree BBQ as well. I like sitting down by the water and enjoying the view of EE as well. Both places have great food, I think it depends on what kind of time you want to spend too, Yak and Yeti does take some time out of the day since its table service.

You have to be a heavy meat eatter to enjoy Flame Tree.
There is I think one Fruit and maybe yogert choice for those who
don't eat meat.

I like Pizzafari and Tusker house for more of a balance and
healthy choice in foods.

I love Flame tree. I have not eaten at a TS in AK yet but I would pick Yak and Yeti.

The consensus here would be try Flame Tree. Rainforest is overpriced and overhyped; Pizzafari is Florida pizza so outside of having cool rooms and a really amazing aparatus that makes the pizza, you aren't getting much there; Haven't been to Tusker House since it was redone so that might be worth a try, and while we are willing to try Yak & Yeti all signs point to disappointing. I say bounce over the AKL and try Sanaa when it opens (assuming it will be open when you'll be there). Then you can come back and give us a review of one of Disney's newest restaurants!

Thanks all! We decided to do Flame Tree for lunch and Yak & Yeti for an early dinner. Can't wait! Only 6 days til I can make ADR's.

We thought about this but I really wanna try Ohana's. I think I'll enjoy the food and atmosphere there more.

I agree, especially if you might be leaning toward TS. We had dinner at Boma for the first time our last trip and we loved it. There is a big variety of food and even our kids enjoyed it. Boma is a definite must do for us from now on.

We had lunch at the Yak & Yeti last year and it was outstanding. We will be back there in June.

I'm going to go with some others here and say try Boma for dinner. AK closes pretty early anyway, so right after the park closes you can head over to AKL and eat at Boma. DH and I did that on our trip this year. We had lunch at Flame Tree and then had dinner at Boma.

So far everyone has mentioned Yak and Yeti TS, but we really enjoyed Yak and Yeti CS, too. We got some lo mein there that was really good.

I looked at Boma's menu on allears and nothing sounded good to me except the zebra domes. ;) I'm a picky eater. We may try it another trip tho.

So glad to here that! Do you remember what you order?
