What are your favorites....I got F! ornament at WDW and I am hoping to find a DL ornament during our upcoming trips.

I have 2 ornaments from our 2005 trip. They are glitter spiral mickey heads in red and silver. I want to get some more ornaments this year.

My other favorite souvenirs: my orange Tigger coffee mug (which I'm drinking out of as I type), my chrome mickey head wine stopper, and the Minnie cropped sweat pants and canvas Mickey tote my in laws got me on our last trip as a Thank You for planning a fabulous trip for 20!!!

I collect pressed pennies everywhere I go so I am always on the lookout for new ones when I go to DLR. I think the vinylmation Mickeys are really cute but I really don't want to start a collection for them knowing it will get waaay out of hand and I'm going to want all of them! :rotfl:

Just curious, are you asking so you can get ideas for souvenirs for yourself or for a little one? I think the answer would be different if you are getting them for different age groups...

There are some really cool ear hat ornaments that I got for my family and myself.

I also really like the retro type stuff they sell, not sure what the line is called, but they have some really cool things. I also love Ear Hats, they are just tons of fun

I am a bit of a hoodie sweatshirt addict, and have been known to "forget" mine at home in colder temps leaving me needing to buy one. Hoodies are probably my favorite. :)

Otherwise, my license plate frame. I was beyond stoked when they finally started selling a metal version after years of buying the plastic ones.

I picked up some nice Mickey shape head Christmas ornaments from the Disney Christmas store in DTD in Orlando this year.

We also like to buy different variety of pins, polo shirts and mickey antenna balls.

I like buying coffee mugs for places we go. DH groans because we have so many, so I try to limit it. But I like to drink my coffee and remember when I went to the place on the mug. I have one mug from Disneyland's 45th birthday so I guess I better get one this summer for 55! ;)

I have this really cool Coffee mug that is green And it have all the Land written of it.

Kae

I love the silhouettes I had done of my children. We also buy a magnet on each vacation we go on.

I was a souvenir freak for a while in the '90s. I was a big watch collector. I collected mugs, pins, magnets, t-shirts, figurines, snow globes, attraction collection die cast figures/sculptures, books, Disney Hallmark ornaments, earrings, hair clips, pens, etc.

But...some of my absolute favorite souvenirs have been of the holiday variety.

Here are some pictures of Halloweentime merchandise from DLR, over a few different years!

A nice Mickey pumpkin mug I got in 2008:

This is a special seasonal attachment for the Mr. Potato Head that is is sold at DLR - it is Mr. Potato Head's Mickey pumpkin trick or treat bag - so cute! It was sold in 2007:

These 3 candle holders came in a set together - I love them!! I got these in 2007:

A candy corn Mickey ears antenna topper that I got in 2007:

One of my favorite snowglobes/sculptures EVER, and I think I got this in 2008:

Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, riding in one of the HM doom buggies - this was sold at DLR before 2007, but not sure which year:

Who doesn't love Vampire Mickey? I got this wonderful sculpture in 2007:

And a sculpture of the Haunted Mansion Holiday, which I think was sold at DLR and World of Disney prior to 2006:

And some Halloweentime pins - the 3 pins at the bottom are ones that were either sold in the parks or in World of Disney in 2007 & 2008 (the one furthest to the right at the bottom is a mini-version of the Halloweentime sign/decoration that adorns many of the lampposts in Main Street); the pins at the top of the page are just other holiday pins from previous years:

You can see my Haunted Mansion house sculpture down in the lower left corner, and my Haunted Mansion snowglobe over to the right, and those are ToonTown houses and snowglobes surrounding the two Haunted Mansion pieces. Anyway, all of these sculptures were sold at DLR in the '90s and into the early part of this decade. Lately for holiday season, they have been selling similar pieces which are mini versions of some of the Main Street facades:

And Christmas:

Most of these items shown below are things that I got in 2007 at DLR, but I am showing them anyway because several of the items were still being sold in 2008 and 2009 at various shops around DLR, so it is very likely that some of them may still be available in the holiday season of 2010. Of course, they may not be, but you may still be able to find a few of them.

DLR came out with this adorable "cookie & candy" theme for ornaments, snowglobes, pins, magnets, and anything you can think of and I couldn't get enough of it! The detail is amazing on some of these items, and the colors are vibrant. I love the cookie and candy and ice cream cone accents!! So cute! So here we go:

This is actually a cookie/candy Castle ornament, but because of its weight, it is better used as a small sculpture to set out as decoration - notice the Hidden Mickeys in the peppermint candy above the archways:

This is an oversized mug or bowl for chili, cereal, soup, oatmeal, maybe a jump coffee drink, etc. It comes with its own little recipe cards and a wooden spatula thingy:

This is a Mickey cookie/candy ornament:

This is a "cookie sheet magnet" with little Mickey and Minnie gingerbread cookies on the sheet!:

This is a holiday pin set I got in Acorn Goods inside the GCH - all the pins in it are snowflakes with characters on them, and as you can see, the card insert has a holiday castle photo on it:

Two special holiday attachments for Mr. Potato Head:

A beautiful cookie/candy Castle musical snowglobe - I just love the details and ornate work on it:

Sherry: The biggest disappointment in not going this Halloween season is not getting one of the Mickey pumpkin trick or treat buckets. Your coffee mug just reminded me of it... :sad2:

Oh, I'm sorry I reminded you! But you do have Christmas to look forward to, so there's lots of good stuff to be had then.

I love those buckets! I never got one, but I know which ones you mean! I also love the extra large Mickey pumpkin candle holders - I only got the small set for votives, but they sell jumbo ones too. So much cool stuff to buy and not enough money to buy it!

Yep. By the time we went on our Xmas trip last year they were pretty picked over. I'm glad we'll have the "fresh batch" of xmas gear to choose from this year.

I love picture frames, the nice wood ones that just have the little Mickey heads in the corners - so they blend in with my other frames at home but still have the Disney touch.
My other favorite souvenir is the cute retro-looking mini coffee tins. You can drink the yummy coffee and keep the adorable tin for decoration and/or a small container. I have a little display of 5 of the tins in my kitchen.
These make great, inexpensive souvenirs for friends & family too! When we’ve gone during the school year, we give a little coffee tin and a pen to each of the boys’ teachers when we get back. :coffee:
When we went last month, I was disappointed to find that most stores now sell the coffee in little pouches instead of the tins. Still cute and good coffee, but obviously not savable/reusable. However, they still had the big multi-pack of the tins in the Market House on Main St.

Well, I definitely want to get another ornoment....I prefer glass. Where is the best place to buy ornaments?

I don't know what my kids will want to get at DL....they are 7 and 4.5. My Ds7 got rifle from frontierland and splash mountain shirt from our wdw trip almost 2 years ago. Any specific splash mountain souvenirs at DL?? This trip will be his 1st time to ride space mountain so he may want something related to space mountain??? DD got a stuffed tinkerbell at wdw....this time she is crazy about cinderella and is doing BBB so I guess she will get something related to that.....

oh, we also have halloween tot bags since we were at wdw during mickey's not so scary halloween party.....the bags are great...they did not have the heads....

Where to buy ornaments: The store is adjacent to the photo store on Main Street. Also WOD in DTD has a lot during the Xmas season.

The ones I'm talking about are similar to the plastic jack o lanterns they sell all over during Halloween, but they are Mickey Jack o Lanterns!! Soooo cute!!!

I love picture frames, the nice wood ones that just have the little Mickey heads in the corners - so they blend in with my other frames at home but still have the Disney touch.

Oh that reminds me - another favorite souvenir of mine are the shadow boxes. Very similar I think to the frames you are describing, nice dark wood with Mickey heads all over the border. I have pins in mine. :goodvibes

My favourite has been the silhouettes as well.My other faves are:
Mickey Watch
Hidden Mickey earings
Tree Ornaments
Splash Mountian Picture Frame
My #1 is a framed pin collection that my dad bought me. Each pin spells out a letter in the word Disneyland and each pin is modelled after a different attraction. At the bottom it says "Resort" in mini-pins and each pin is modelled after a different Disney charachter.
