Hello I was wondering if there is a dish that is a big hit at California Grill. I usually order steak wherever I go on the dining plan but think I will have steak coming out of my ears so I might need to swith it up a bit.

Can anyone tell me if the pork tenderloin is good? Or recommend any other dishes....other than steak :goodvibes

thanks :flower3:

Danielle

PS I am not very adventurous when it comes to Fish I like Salmon and Flounder/Crab but that's about it! thanks again.

I always get that pork tenderloin!!
And always one of the flatbread appetizers.

Second the pork tenderloin! It is the best dish at WDW.
I also loved the goal cheese ravioli as an appetizer.

love the pork tenderloin, I have actually tried to replicate it at home with some success, but obviously it wasn't exactly the same!
I also had a wonderful short ribs dish there once but I'm not sure it's a regular on the menu
the flatbreads are always fantastic also

Okay thank you! I may have to give it a try ...it looks so good in the pictures but I'm always scared to venture out and try new things so thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

The pork tenderloin with the goat cheese polenta is my absolute favorite dish at CA Grill! I always order mine without mushrooms. :thumbsup2

We have made the goat cheese polenta here at home and it's turned out pretty well ... never tried to replicate the tenderloin - that recipe is pretty complicated.

Hope you enjoy your dinner!

Brenda you have to tell me how you got the polenta to come out good, that was the part that I failed at, it was too heavy or something, it wasn't the same.
The pork preparation was surprisingly not that complicated, but it was quite messy! Lots of dishes and pots and pans, but luckily in our house I'm the cook, he's the dishwasher!

Hmmmm, lemme think ...

I know we used a little bit of extra cream while we were stirring it, to "un-thicken" it a little more and I also bought a greek goat cheese - a really really smooth one that was almost the consistency of cream cheese. I think that really made a big difference.

As for the pork ... it was all the ingredients for the sauce that scared me off. I can never get my sauces to turn out the right way. :headache:
