Father Labeled a 'Pervert' for Taking Pictures of Own Children in Park

A man can't take take pictures of his children in a park ( Normal Pics. not nude etc.) But Michael Jackson and other Perverts are labels heroes are people who exploit there young children into modeling at a young age dressing them up like there grow ( JonBenét Ramsey)is fine; but taking a picture that all parents have taken is wrong. I can see if he were taking pictures of other children in the park that would raise a red flag; but his own children come on.

Yikes, how annoying! :confused3

At some point you have to give up a little control...if someone is taking pics of their kids NEAR your clothed children in a public park and you can't give them the benefit of the doubt, what kind of life is that for you and your kids?

Completely, barking mad; that's what the accusers in this situation were; and if you read the Mail article, he even showed the woman the pics from his Nikon DSLR. People have no sense nowadays. It makes me wonder what some nutcase could say to my DH if he happened to be alone w/ DD. And to cause such a huge scene in front of their kids? I just don't get it.:confused3

I agree with that, What I don't understand is how can parents let children play video games with vilance are Grad Theft auto and this fine, but have a dad take a picture and hells bells. This just burns me up, I'm sorry.

Thats what the world is comming to i am afraid.

I wonder when they will stop us taking pictures at Disney incase a child that isn't ours might be in shot???

I blame the media for creating a mood of hysteria. The "well-informed" parent is expected to see threats in each and every person that walks by. A few well-publicized cases of creeps and nutjobs stalking children is now seen as the norm, and ordinary people are suspected and accused.

Of course, those shows that set up sting operations for predators don't help. If you watch any of those, you will think that ALL men are out to rape and exploit your children. How can you help it? Read the newspaper...every day there is an article about an attempted abduction, or a selectman caught with child porn, or a priest raping an altar boy.

Is the media at fault? Or is society?

that is UNBELIEVABLE!!
the second link is the better one..
it gives a more complete story, including some of the pictures...
i cannot believe it...he was taking pictures of his kids....his wife was there as well....
on a family day out in the park..
and they were fully clothed, so how can you possibly call any of it perverted...
kids having a good time on the slide...
completely completely completely ridiculous...

unbelievable....

People have went nuts. That is just so stupid I dont know what to say. I am happy that father stood up for himself.

I am really not surprised. Things are stacked against parents these days.

We have had a little truancy issue:-)rolleyes1)where my middle schooler refused to go to school and wouldn't get on the bus or get in the car...for about 1 1/2 years. We finally physically carried her out to the car(we were tired of being told there was nothing we could do- we weren't allowed to put our hands on her)and dropped her off kicking and screaming in her PJs with a bag full of clothes/grooming items for her to change in the bathroom. She started attending school daily, and the school was really happy until they saw how my DH got her out of the car. Mind you, she was kicking him in the face at the time. They called CPS on us. Did they ever call when my DD didn't show up for school months at a time? Nope! To me, that would be more of a sign of abuse than parents dropping their out of control teen off at school.

I can kind of see how the internet has changed the playing field on public photos, but I still think you shouldn't get hassled for taking them.

Thing is i think the lady working the slide was just looking for trouble becase well she works a big blow up slide *unless she is still in collage or hight school* there is a reason shes working there and not a real job.

Did yall see on fox news about the monster parents in japan?

It isn't like the children were sliding down buck naked, geesh! I'm all for people wanting to protect their children from predators and there is no way to pick one out in the crowd - it isn't like they were signs. But I think those people were going a little overboard.

This is just nuts....would love to hear Pete's take (rant) on this one!

I recently went to my Niece's bday party (7) at the local YMCA and we were not allowed to even take our camera in the pool area because we might take pictures of kids who weren't our own. thought it was very strange! I mean it's a kids birthday party!!
