Fate of Harry Potter?!?

I read that the actor who plays Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) mentioned in an interview that in the final harry Potter novel that Harry Potter may die. The article also mentioned that J.K. Rowling has hinted in the past that Harry may not survive. I thought this would make a great poll on the DIS!

No way will Harry die. I can't even consider it. I think Harry will become an Auror, and Hermoine perhaps the first Headmistress of Hogwarts. Not so sure about Ron's fate.

I do hope that Harry won't die, but my favorite scenario that I've been thinking is that Harry will defeat and kill Voldemort with the help of Neville, but Neville will die. Harry will become a Professor and eventually Headmaster of Hogwarts. Ron and Hermionie will marry w/ Hermoinie becoming a professor and Ron working at the Ministry of Magic.

I voted for number 3 but I dont think he marries Hermonie, I think he marries Rons little sister, I think Hermonie ends up with Ron and I think if Harry lives, it opens up a whole series of wizard books for J.K. for Harrys adventures away from the school. Traveling around the world finding old wizard treasures and solving things that have gone wrong in the wizard world.

I thought too that Harry would die cause it hinted that Voldemort and Harry are two of a kind and they have the same inner core. So if Voldemort dies, so will Harry.

I like the Harry-Ginny Weasley scenario, Hermione as Hogwarts headmistress, and Ron as her DH and a SAHD for the next generation of Weasleys.

I hope Harry doesn't die, but I don't see J.K. being up for another series of wizard books. She had some trouble getting the last book out and seems to be behind her timeline for finishing this series.

I didn't vote but I tend to agree edcrbnsoul. Harry will become an auror. Ron will discover he's a better wizard than he ever realized. I think Neville is a goner . I also think that Draco may experience a change of heart . And, I think Hermione will return to Hogwarts.

Harry and Voldemort will engage in an epic battle of wits and wizardry. Voldemort will pull out all the stops, and just when it appears that he is going to finish Harry off once and for all . . .

I don't like any of those options, so I didn't pick one.

Harry won't die, Neville probably will...Ron might die as well, but if not, he'll get with Hermy, Harry will probably get with Ginny. (Or Luna?)

Harry will become an Auror, I think.

I just don't see J.K. taking this wonderful boy she created and killing him off...I just can't see that. Gosh I hope NOT!

Come on! Now I agree he may eventually die but I'm more likely to agree w/ the poster above....

They have already laid the ground work for Hermoine to marry/be involved w/ Ron. And Ron's little sister, Ginny, will marry/be involved w/ Harry! I really doubt we will see any of them "get married!"

YES! I love this idea. I've always thought Harry would become Headmaster of Hogwarts. Seems a fitting end to the series.

I think it has been quite awhile since I first heard Rowling hint that Harry may be killed off at the end of the series. It's completely possible, and book 5 set it up well. Only one can survive, Harry or Voldemort.

As much as I personally cannot imagine that happening, I can see that it is possible and can kind of see why Rowling would use that option.

I too think Harry should become an auror and marry Ginny.

Ah, but what if he marries Ginny, they have a child, and then he tangles with "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" and they both die because of their common bond?

Then we can start all over again!!!
