Hi all,

First, thanks to all you dedicated DISers who have provided so much information and advice. The information is invaluable, especially to those of us who are new to DLR. You rock! :woohoo:

I have a question about FastPasses. I will be traveling in late July and have read HydroGuy's awesome thread about most effectively using FastPasses during high season. So I think I have the basics down pretty well; really appreciate the tip about how the machines don't completely swallow your card like they do at WDW (any my daughter's once got stuck and never came back out :scared1: we started to panic...story for a different thread!). ANYWHOOOO.... here's my question:

How do you know if a particular attraction's FPs are 'connected' to the rest of the FP system or not? :confused3 I understand that the WoC FastPasses, for example, are completely independent of all other FPs. There appear to have been other attractions (varying somewhat over the years) whose FastPasses are 'disconnected' and therefore would not prevent you from obtaining another FastPass for a 'connected' attraction.

How will I know which ones are 'connected' and which are not? Is this posted or published anywhere, or does it indicate anything on the FastPass itself, or at the FP kiosk? Or are we relying on the reports and wisdom of recent visitors?

Thanks for any replies!

I'm on my phone so pardon the brevity, but all you need to know is that DL and DCA are independent of each other, Roger Rabbit is not connected, and WOC is not connected. Other than that, everything else is connected.

Seconding this. It's public knowledge that WoC is not connected (I'm pretty sure), but the other 2 (DL/DCA and Roger Rabbit) have been insider knowledge for a while. CMs will probably let you know about DL/DCA being disconnected from each other if you ask, but they may not know about RR.

Thank you for the responses!

Right, I should have made clear that I understand that DL and DCA are independent of each other, so that's an advantage as everyone says how easy it is to hop between them (yay, that will be so great! :thumbsup2 We are used to WDW where it takes awhile to get from park to park).

Ok, so looks like RR is the only one that's independent (other than the WoC FPs). Darn, I was hoping there might be a few more, but I will take advantage of these, at least!

Thanks for the info and taking time to reply! :lovestruc

Just to echo what everyone else said, WOC is disconnected, DL from DCA, and Roger Rabbit.

Big Thunder was disconnected this past fall for awhile and it was awesome. Feel free to check it! Of course, get the FP you really want first and then if you are going by BTMRR, try it to see what happens. That is the only way we find out if it is disconnected or connected. Have fun! :goodvibes

I THINK Roger Rabbit was connected during the very heaviest crowds around Christmas last year, but as HydroGuy said, it's disconnected now.

If I were going during a very busy period (like when Cars Land opens or certainly Christmas) and Roger Rabbit wasn't a huge priority, I'd make sure not to try to get a RR FP unless I was already holding a FP during that "window", just in case it might be connected after all. But until/unless they change it again, you should be fine. :)
