Hey guys!! I can't believe our first WDW vacation is only 3 days away!!! I'm more excited than my kids I think! :lmao: For you experts out there, do you have any tips on using FastPass? I know the concept behind it & that you're supposed to save time by avoiding line waits by using it, but do you have any tips on maximizing FastPass 's to save even more time not waiting in line? Any ideas would be apreciated!!

Countdown .... 5 ....4 .....3 more days!!!

Try to get fastpasses for those attractions with the longest wait times. I don't usually get a fastpass for anything with less than a 15-20 minute wait time. Also, try to get the fastpass early because the return times get later and later and run out well before the end of the day. Look at your fastpasses to see what time you can get another - sometimes it's before the next fastpass return time.

Hey...you know what is even better than fastpass? The baby swap! If you have kids that are too small (or even if you don't!) the baby swap is the best thing. They give you a ticket to come back to the fastpass line WHENEVER you want, and they don't expire for 30 DAYS!! Well, at least that is the way it worked when we were there in October. Worked like a charm. If one of us wanted to go on the ride, but the other didn't, just used the baby swap at a later time or date during our trip. Probably shouldn't share this secret, since Disney will probably change the baby swap policy. But most of the time, they didn't even ask me where my child and the other adult were. And I didn't completely scam the system, because we were there with a 2 1/2 year old.

Whatever park you intend to go to on any particular day, know which rides you want to do. Check your ride boards for whether the ride is operating and wait times. Assign one person to take the tickets to obtain the FP's for everyone, this person should know the park or study the map before hand to learn the location of the attactions. Have a meeting place for the FP runner to meet the rest of the party to continue until the FP can be used. Watch your return times and also times you can obtain the next FP, and continue with this for your major attactions that you want to make. Note, if you have members of your pary that are not into rides, still take their ticket to obtain extra FP for an additional ride if you have the time in your schedule.
Good Luck and enjoy your trip.

If possible, get a second fast pass before you use the first FP. This way, you are eating into your second fast pass wait time while you use the first. Let me explain this with an example:

1st fast pass for Space Mountain says:
-Return 10:10-11:40
-Next FP available at 10:15

Grab a fast pass around 10:20 for your next ride (say Buzz) BEFORE you enter the FP line for Space Mountain. This way, by the time you exit SM, a bunch of wait time for the second FP has gone by. :hourglass

Make sure you get there at park opening, because the Fast pass wait time will be about the time it takes to ride one ride. For example, we like ToT, so we'll get a FP for Tot, then ride the standby line (really short 'cos the park just opened). By the time we're off the ride, it's time to use the FP, and we can bypass the line that built up while we were on the ride (usu. 20-30 minutes). You can also use this for rides that are next door to each other, like ToT and RnRC, or Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. Make sure to get a FP before you eat or watch a parade/fireworks show. Unless it's a very busy day, it'll be time to ride once you're done. Also, always have a fastpass for something at any given time. Then, ride the less crowded rides as you wait for your FP time to come.
