Sorry for asking this but I haven't been on the boards much lately and last I was I remember some threads regarding the possible enforcment of the fastpass return windows. Is there any update on this? We're going for a quick trip next weekend and I was just wondering if we'll be able to use our FP's after the window time or not.
Thanks!

They are enforcing at WDW but not at DL.

This is correct. You can still use your FP collected early in the morning & save it to ride in the crowded evening.

They are NOT enforcing the return time at DL. (as long as it's the same day)

:)

Thanks for asking! We are going in less than three weeks (SQUEE) for a single day, so I keep checking back to see if it's started to be enforced or not :).

Allow me to rephrase then. Why did they enforce it at DW?

The rumor is that next year (2013) there will be a next generation FP (called x-pass on the WDW boards) where you will reserve some of your ride times possibly up to 6 months in advance. In order for that program to work, actually to have all options for riding a ride to work (x-pass, FP and the standby line) the FP time has to be enforced. There is not a lot known about x-pass at this time, but that is the current speculation. I don't think there are plans for x-pass at DL in the near future, and it may not be something that would work there anyway. Anyway- that is the best guess as to why FP times are being enforced at WDW now.
