FastPass "Re-Entry" tickets - Do these expire?

Hi,

This question gets asked very often...and never gets answered definitively!

You will see replies from people who say they have used their FastPass after the expiration time with no problem...and you will see posts from people who were not allowed to.

The correct answer is: it depends on the cast member who takes your FastPass. Some will let you through, others will not.

Just wondering if they expire?:confused3

Are these "regular" FP tickets, or some kind of special FP tickets given to you by a CM?

What do the tickets say on them?

Are they DATED in any way?

(Or are you looking to BUY some of them on eBay?)

We had fast passes that we couldn't use, due to dinner plans. We went back hours later just to see what the story on use was. The CM there told me that they are supposed to let you in whenever you come back, regardless of the time that is on them. He then said that's a "big Disney secret." LOL

I did not ask about using them on a different day. We were able to use them about 4 hours after the 'expiration' time.

I don't think the OP's question is about regular FastPasses.

If it does not have an expiration date then it does not expire.

I got one (purple colored) for Test Track several years ago as part of a behind the scenes tour. I was a ride chicken back then and it was more than a year later before I got the courage to do the ride and then I used the re-entry pass.

When Expedition Everest broke down last June, we were issued re-entry passes which were only good for the next day, but it clearly stated on the tickets that they were only good for the date that was stamped on them.

Those are the only kind we have ever been issued.

We have been waiting in a queue for a ride that was broken down on a few different occasions, and the FP we have been given had "today's" date hand-written on them and indicated that they would expire within a couple of days.
I probably still have some of these in my stack 'o FP that I've never used.

If they have a date and/or time on them then, yes, they expire.. NOW, will that expiration date/time be enforced?? THAT is where all the discussion comes in. :)

I've never used them yet (will be in december), but I'm afraid to use milk that's past it's expiration date, so I have a feeling that I wouldnt even try to use mine. I would figure they put the time on them for a reason, and if I wasnt even capable of getting back at the right time, I shouldnt be allowed to use them. That's just me though, others will use them with no hesitation.

3:54 AM????? Come on man, get some sleep!!!!:rotfl:

Way back in August 2000 we went with a group of nine and we were waiting in line for Test Track when it broke down. We were all given tickets that said we could skip the line next time we came to Epcot and there was no expiration. In fact, we used them in August of 2002, which was the next time all nine of us went together. We showed them to the CM and she took us around through a back door. We skipped the preshow film and came out down a stairway right at the loading platform (you can see this stairway if you look to the right when you come out of the film..it almost looks like and urban fire escape). We then got into the next two cars that pulled up.

Sounds like maybe they have stopped doing that....
