Let me start by saying we stayed at Kidani in December and had zero issues with the magic bands. It actually was a pretty great experience, changing times, using dining plan, purchases, etc. Now that being said, it wasn't very crowded and we were able to do anything we wanted. We would start by opening a park, do what we want with little wait and then hop and use our pre-planned afternoon fastpasses.
So my questions are, and I am sure this has been asked many times but i didn't know if there was any update to this as it is going to be something that really will impact how we travel to Disney. The 3 fastpass selections only. Will that ever be expanded? Typically we start in one park, pull a few FP's and move to a second park and do the same, 3 is just not enough. At the very least will we or can we get a FP in one park and the other two in a second park?
Now my other issue is this, and I just became aware of it yesterday as I am 60 days out for a quick March trip and tried to plan my FP's. We typically make our reservations, sometimes up to a year out. Then as we save vacation money as the trip approaches we add dining, we buy our tickets, etc. This March trip, we have two people going that do not have passes as this will be their only trip this year so our intention was to buy their tickets whenever as we get close to the trip. Well I can't schedule any FP's for those two travelers until they have passes. So now Disney will dictate when I purchase passes ( 60 days out ). Does this sound correct, I can't make my FP reservations for my travel party until they have tickets, although they have magicbands and are in my reservation party on MDE?
