We are taking my in-laws with us this year and have a question about disabilities and fastpasses. She will more than likely not be able to get to the parks before 1or 2 in the afternoon. Will we be able to get fastpasses for her for later in the day? Specifically for TSMM, not looking forward to a 90 minute wait if we can't grab her a fastpass. Not sure how it works since her ticket wouldn't be in the system for the day yet. Most things she won't be able to ride anyway (SM, EE etc)

Your ticket has to be active for that park so she have to enter with you. Most likely they will be out by 1-2 or the return time will be really late. Sorry you won't be able to get fast passes with out the ticket her using it to get in.

We were just there last week. The fastpasses for TSMM were out by around 1pm. We waited in the line and it was 105 minutes. My daughter was in wheelchair and I saw two other ECV in the standby line. It moved slow, but lots of things to look at...

A couple of thoughts....

1) Now that they are enforcing the FP end time, you have to be careful that you pull a FP late enough that you get a time when she'll be at the park (but early enough that you get a time when she'll still be there)

2) You could grab FPs with one of your tickets and let her use it. If you are there at/near rope drop you could either ride it stand-by or get two sets of FPs, so no one has to go without riding it.

When is your trip? If (and its a big if...) MagicBands are fully rolled out this would not be an issue as you could potentially reserve FP for all members of your party in the afternoon, thus eliminating the ticket entry issue. Disney is hopeful that it will be rolled out soon, but who really knows when it will be available.

I'm not saying this is something you can EXPECT to happen, but we were in a similar situation in 2011 - one member of our group was sick in the hotel room, couldn't get a FP when we did, but felt better and joined us later. We explained the situation to a CM and asked if she could help, and she pixie-dusted us an extra FP. So although you can't plan on it, it's not out of the realm of possibility that some pixie dust could come your way.
