Fastpass + que wait times?

I did a search for this info but there are just way to many threads on Fast pass + to sort through. What are the fast plus + lines like when you go for your fast pass time? are there wait times? We are going second week of May and when we went 7 years ago with regular fast pass there wasn't a line, we just walked up and was immediately let on the ride. With the new system, I didn't know if it caused a line to form. Thanks for any info you have.

Just came back from my trip (2/28-3/5) and my first FP + experience. First off, the actual lines aren't bad at all. If anything I actually felt like I waited less than w/ the old fp system. BUT overall I think it's made the average stand-by wait times MUCH longer. I actually missed out on a ton of rides because of it. I've never waited more than 20 mins for HM and I saw the wait times were 30-40 mins most of the trip. Same with the maelstrom.

I also barely used the FP+ system because we were a large group of 12, had park hoppers and were on the DDP, so there were so many conflicts with dinner reservations and just the amount of people in our party that we missed a lot of our fast passes. We were really big fans of the old FP system and we used to be able to ride/see everything multiple times each trip. I think I rode the least amount of rides on a trip this long in all my 21 years of Disney. It was really disappointing.

Only good things I have to say about it is the lines were minimal with FP+ and the convenience of being able to choose and change the reservations on the app at any time.

In my experience, most FP+ lines went as fast as you could walk them. We only had two occasions where I felt the wait was longer than I expected and that was TSMM and Space Mountain. Space Mountain was particularly bad, but the standby wait was beyond an hour and it was cool inside, so we were patient.
