Fastpass & POTC?

I don't know if I missed it somewhere or not, but are they putting in Fastpass machines for the new Pirates? The posted a new electronic wait sign outside the ride. Obviously they are expecting huge crowds. We are going to be there 2 days after opeing-Can't wait! But if Disney isn't going to put in Fastpass- Why Why Why? We are prepared to stand in line with the masses but one can only hope! Anyone got anymore info?

Pirates, when up to full capacity, can handle huge crowds rather quickly.
Its just in recent years, they didn't usually run BOTH loading and unloading areas at once.

We'll watch what happens now.

I actually haven't been on Pirates for my past few trips (but my boys have). What was the longest you've waited for Pirates pre-rehab?

the longest ive waited for potc before the rehab was probably 10 minutes...it seems like you are never standing in a line, you just walk right through it even though there are a good number of people on line. The loading and unloading is very quick, and they are always loading a boat.

We waited about ten minutes in April

5-10min in January and perhaps 30 minutes in the summer (even when the lines were way out the front door).

You can always use both sides......most people just assume one side isn't open and all congregate to one side. It's a great opportunity to get ahead in line by going into the empty one.....but right after everyone follows suit.

When we went for the soft opening yesterday in WDW, everyone was using only the left side and we just walked right on up using the right side. I think the longest we have every waited was last July for 30 minutes.
Since the line is in the dark, the wait isn't so bad because it cools you off.

We rode POC at DL on Thursday (4th day of being open) and they no longer have Fast Pass there (according to CM they took it out a few years ago-I didn't even notice.) The line looked long but only took about 25 min. We were moving constantly. I'm pretty sure they are not putting in Fast Pass at DL. I would think the same would be true at WDW.
