fastpass on ebay

The FPs from Ebay can be used in the normal way as other FPs - you put them in the machine for rides that have FP and it gives you a time to return. It means you can have more than one FP at a time as normally you cant get another til after your ride return time.

You can still only hold them for 1 ride at a time but they can be used over and over.
I didnt think they would be worth it when people first started talking about them but we had them for our last trip and found them really worthwhile.
We used them to get 2 FPs at a time (1 with normal ticket and 1 with that) for the same ride meaning you could ride it twice but they could be used for different rides

We found two of these on the floor outside Pizza Planet, no one around at all so we used them, they were great and in my purse ready for next year (fingers crossed).
We did notice a great big pile of these on top of the ticket machines as you enter Disneyland, not sure who they were being given out to though, and I didn't like to just ask for one (wish I had of done though)

I think they give them if your ticket doesn't work in the machine going in. I suppose if they fail to work in the entry machines they may fail to work on the fastpasses?

When we were there a few weeks ago every time I got a FP I noticed that the people all around me were using the Ebay FPs. Makes me wonder if they are so common that FPs are running out earlier in the day. :confused3

Hi First post here
Does that mean that the fastpasses I got in June 08 will work in October 08?
Thanks Kara

I never saw anyone else using them, mind you we didn't really get that many fastpasses, we probably used them twice for TOT and Buzz. We were going to use them for BTM but the fastpass queue was almost as long as the regular queue so we gave it a miss.

Some of the ebay sellers are doing buy it now with for example 56 available so they obviously aren't guests who have had one given but someone who has got hold of a stash.

Is it worth buying these for January?:confused3 Would the parks get busy enough to make it worthwhile?

I would say no but in saying that I think Januarys are gonna start being alot busier, I think in 08 the longest we waited for a ride was 20 mins and that was all, others were straight on or 5, 10 mins.

We've noticed it getting busier since we first went by quite alot.

I must say, I bought 10 of these from an E-bay seller, and they really made the holiday for my girlfriend and I. We went for 4 days over the august bank holiday (which was crazy busy), and didn't queue for more than 5-10 minutes for any ride (apart from crush!) with the aid of these, which was amazing.

I do wonder how long this can go on for, because surely if everybody is using these 'cheeky' fastpasses (and I saw plenty of other people with them), this is going to disproportionally affect the queues over the long term to the point where it's going to mean that all of the fastpasses are gone very early in the day, which is a bit unfair on the average park-goer. I imagine something will be done at some point.

In a way, I don't quite agree with the fact that these people are profiteering on fastpasses that are obviously obtained by dubious methods (I imagine most are blatantly stolen by CM's), but at the end of the day we pay a lot to get to Disney and spend a lot whilst there, so to get a minor advantage with the queues is worth it for me.

That and the fact that when we did try and queue for a ride normally there were plenty of rude spanish, french and german (sorry to generalise, but was true) people blatantly pushing in front of everybody else to get on the ride quicker. If that's the way they want to give themselves an advantage, then I feel better about my way.

Hi, that's what I thought too. We went at the same time of year in 2005 but January is the most affordable time to go, so I thought it might be getting busier. I might buy some ebay fastpasses nearer the time, just to be safe!

We took three of these with us at the begining of august and I did feel a bit cheeky the first time I used them , I didnt see any other people using them but i wasnt really looking ,they did help us get a few extra rides so i was quite pleased with them ,but I do wonder if disney will cotton on to these and put a stop although I dont know how as they would have to have a cm at every fast pass machine checking . I dont know how many of these are out there and would they make that much difference .In fact one day we put our proper park ticket in the machine and it got stuck the cm who sorted it out just smiled when it gave us 6 passes at once :yay: for BTM
