Hi everybody? I have never been to Disney. How much does Fastpass cost per ride? I live in St. Louis and at our Six Flags, it costs $4.00 per ride per person.

Mr. Mike

It's FREE :jumping1: , you will swipe your WDW ticket at the fastpass and one will print out. Unless things have changed, you are only allowed 1 per person within a certain time frame.

Fastpass is free. You are usually allowed to have one at a time for one specific ride. Definately use it on long line rides, like Rock n Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest.

Do you have a copy of Passporter or Unofficial Guide? If this is your first trip, it might be a good idea - and you'll get great info here - my first trip was 1973!

They are free, but you get one at a time.
Have a ROUGH plan for each park. Go to a long wait time attraction (or send one person with everyone's ticket - as soon as you get to the park), get the fastpass (will be for a couple of hours later, you'll get a "window" to return and it will say when you can get another) Then go to your next long wait time ride, get in line, and I usually get my next fastpas before getting in line for my current fastpass if possible.

Some questions that will help in your planning -
1. When are you going? Busier/slower time?
2. On site or off - first trip I recommend onsite
3. Disney Dining Plan(DDP) or no?
4. Who is going?

At Disney $0.00
At US $40.00 per person

(and everyone says Disney's expensive!) :confused3

Does this make the lines go by even slower or can you get on a ride fast.

Mr. Mike

When you have a fastpass, you return during your "window of opportunity" (usually a 2 hour window) and you go to the fastpass line. There may be people in front of you, but it is NOTHING like waiting in standby! Your line will go MUCH faster. But, you do need to PLAN so you get the best use out of your fastpasses.

By the way--HI NEIGHBOR!!! I'm just across the River! :wave2: We haven't been to Six Flags in several years now.

Fast Passes send you to the front of the line, bypassing the "stand-by" line (the regular line) - so yes, those folks in the regular line have a longer wait as a result.

Planning is essential, because you can only get 1 FP/person every 2 hours or so. In AK you don't necessarily need one for EE, since the single rider line moves fairly quickly - you may decide to get one for Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, or the Safari ride and then loop thru the EE singles line a couple times while waiting for your fast pass window to open.

Likewise at Epcot, Mission Space Green (less intense) is almost walk-on (literally), so you can use your fast pass for Test Track or Soarin' instead. Of course for those rides your wait for the fast pass window to open may be almost the entire day, if available at all.

Mike. Look up at the top of this page. Meet Mike. Tourguidemike, that is. His touring advice is fantastic, best out there for a first timer. It will be the best $23 you will ever spend. I go when there are moderate crowds, lines get up past 30 min pretty fast, but I never wait more than 10 to 15.

He is happy to give you your money back if you don't find his information usefull, but I know you will.

I gotcha. I guess I have to pre-plan what rides we want to go on. I have to wait to get some money but I will do the tourmike site for sure.

Fastpass does not send you 'to the front of the line', it allows you to enter in the fastpass line instead of the standby line. There will still be people in front of you that have entered the fastpass line before you, and the CM will take some people from the standby line and the fastpass line to fill up the ride vehicles.

Fast Pass saves your place in line, allowing you to visit other attractions until your "window" opens, without standing in line. If you go to WDW when it's busy, pick them up for the major attractions: Rock N RollerCoaster, Tower of Terror, Lights Motors Action, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Soarin', Mission Space, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, etc.
